Fair comment, that’s one reason why there are duplicates all over the pitch. Keeps players on their toes knowing if they don’t perform there is someone behind them chomping at the bit!

I don't go over the top with regards my assessment of players like you do, we were struggling to break Wimbledon down so I'd say that was the correct call/substitution by Hughes as Cooks replacement scored the equaliser, of course he'll start next week Hughes realises as a striker Cook is not going to score every game, unfortunately in your world if a striker doesn't score he's s***e which is laughable what does that say about Oliver, Angol, Harratt who couldn't get in the starting 11, ALL strikers go through lean spells as someone who claims he knows the game it's a little naive on your part.

So is Haaland but both ARE scoring so it's a pointless debate.

Cook is rightly the first name in the team sheet at the moment and there's plenty contributing less than him to consider swapping out first.

No it's not. They were booing the decision to take off our leading scorer rather than change up the system to accommodate an extra front man.

Absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the incoming player.

Only in @Fordy117@Fordy117 world would you leave the second highest scorer in League Two on the bench, Cook has the best goal per game ratio, the best min's per goal, the best goal conversion ratio and the best shot accuracy stick him on the bench he does nothing for the team except score goals.

Yeah, it's great to see players pushing each other. Andy Cook can't afford to go on a run of games without scoring, because he WILL be on the bench if Oliver adds another goal or two from the bench.

    Super stuff.

Gone are the days when Rupp wouldn't let us have an assistant manager or we appointed someone who didn't even want a right back.

    Those were some goofy days.

Well Cook wasn’t having a particularly good game. I thought the booing was appalling. We are 10 games in and the first home game where things were not going our way and the fans are booing the managers decision.

I thought I heard booing, but wasn't sure.

It definitely didn't come through in the Midland Road stand. Can't have been many (if more than one).

But you could see some of the comments on the match thread on this forum about how Vadaine couldn't head a ball :*@

I don't actually think Cook performed poorly so much as the crossing was just awful for 89 minutes. Really poor, like our players felt crosses had to clear the area for some reason. Foulds, in particular, was garbage at crossing until he put it on a plate for Oliver.

Harratt needs to learn from Oliver's attitude to not being in the team, shut up, bide your time and take your chance when given it.

Corners were the best and most consistent of any game this season for us.

I can't really remember, but our set piece delivery has improved lately.

I'll let us off for not scoring a goal from a corner against Wimbledon, probably the biggest/tallest side in the division, but fair play I can't really remember.

You just can't help yourself can you? I get the impression you spent the whole 96 minutes watching for Hendrie to make a mistake. Must have been hard for you when Sutton came on, having to keep on eye on both your "favourites " :grinning:

You've got to admit he was terrible. My lad came with me and has only been to the Tranmere game so far, he noted how weak we were down our right and how Wimbledon were targeting him. It's harsh when its your first game back but it's upto the player to put down a marker for the manager to pick him the next match. On that display Halliday is a shoe in next week.

It's been happening since football has had crowds. I don't agree with the booing in this instance but there's no need to over react, MH is a big boy and very experienced so criticism from a handful of people isn't going to sway him in the slightest. Especially when one of the people he brought on netted an equaliser.

You know it makes sense. They were good weren’t they, outstanding for sure, is that what you want me to say or just b/s. You are right…I can spot a weak link, some can’t perhaps.
