People may express their reservations about signing youngsters who haven’t fully proven themselves at this level. But it is a refreshing change to see that we are signing players from teams who have done well in the previous season. Compared to former seasons where we were signing players from relegated teams, Namely Scunthorpe

 

It says a season long loan on Huddersfield Web page with a recall clause for January.

Ive not heard of him but Port vale fans seem to rate him and he’s scored goals there and been a success so it sounds a promising loan, this.

Hudds have a great academy and its good to hear him mention playing for Hughes was one of the lures to coming here.

We will have a much younger team next season. Hopefully fitter and more energetic and it should help build a good spirit amongst the lads, with so many 20-24 ish?

I feel quite negative in general about this signing but a players old clubs fans usually give a good indication of what you can expect so hopefully I'm very wrong on this one.

City finally seem to be taking recruitment seriously. The past few years it's like the club would sign anyone who had kicked a ball before, and that the massive crowd would somehow turn them good.

A loan signing this early in the window though? I'm used to our managers explaining how we are waiting on their parent clubs activity and not getting our main targets within the last week of the deadline...

 

At this rate there won’t be any panic buying ffs what the hells going off down there ?
Players being signed early my god do these fools not realise we only go after players that nobody wants ????

 

I wonder if this squad is going to turn out to be the youngest average age we have ever had by the start of the season?

At least we are signing players who have already shown that they can play and perform under pressure.

 

He did well at a club that got promoted last season so all in all another good signing ......... at this rate come pre season we may more or less have our squad in place rather than hoping they can fit in just before the window shuts and let’s be right he’s bound to do better than the so called forwards we brought in last season

 

It'll have much more energy and pace than we've had for years. Id like to see an older head or two come in as well though.

Port Vale's assistant manager Andy Crosby has stated that Kian reminds him of a young Billy Sharp.
Looking forward to seeing this young team play the way Mark Hughes and co demand.
It's great that a squad is being assembled well before pre season training commences.
