Kian Harratt

My old boss is a Huddersfield fan. I asked him earlier on in the season what the rest of Town's centre halves were like if they could afford to send Crichlow to us. He replied they were old, old and slow or injured!

 

His mind and eyes were cast elsewhere Dave probably.

Clearly he’s too dim to recognise his “ hobby” would get found out at some stage, even though he posted on SM? Doh!

 

I was talking with my town supporting mates last night. Apparently Warnock sees something in Harratt. They have kept him on and Warnock wants to see what he can do in pre-season matches as part of the first team squad.

 

Probably wasn't his ability as to why he didn't make more of an impression. Seems to me like he needs to mature and possibly a manager that's willing to work with him and guide him.

 

Yeah, I think for various reasons, some self-inflicted, some tactical, we never really got to see the best of him

 

Huddersfield Town have confirmed that striker Kian Harratt has been suspended from all football and football-related activity for four months following a breach of betting rules. The 21-year-old immediately admitted the offences upon being charged and has fully cooperated with the subsequent FA and club investigations.

 

I'd heard that a while ago from someone ITK at Huddersfield. I thought he had something as a player but how many chances is he going to get - he just doesn't seem to learn

 

He doesn’t seem to be grasping the "professional" part of being a professional footballer.

 

Seems that way. He had 183 bets placed in the time period, with him betting in games he was involved in for Hudds, City, Vale & Guiseley. He even had mutiples bets against Huddersfield.

Totally agree. Sadly Warnock and Bruno seemed to see something in him but in reality he’s a wrong in.
Will likely be sacked and finish up at Ossett whilst doing petty crime, hopefully not but the writing’s on the wall.

 

I had the "pleasure" of standing just behind Harratts dad and some of his friends at Hartlepool away last season. Kian came on and played the left forward of the 3, attacking the away end. So all the Harratt clan moved down that side and stood on the front row. Middle aged men, all looking like they were straight out of an early 2000s comedy sketch on chavs, but his dad had a match worn Harratt top on.

Whenever the ball went out by us, Harratts dad would scream at him to get in the box. One time, we had a corner, Kian stood about 15 feet away and his dad shouted "you need to play up front!", Kian said he has been told to play left, his dad shouted something back about you wont score on the left. Was things like that for 90% of the time he was on the pitch. When the thing about ferrets came out, I thought back to the Harratt clan that day and thought..... yep, makes sense.

 

The lad seems to have poor guidance from his family or a flaws in his character. Suggest he changes those close to him for better advice.

 

Yes I didn't think we saw enough to make a call on the lad's footballing ability but he did not help himself getting a red after I believe the Doncaster game had finished, with his past history of hare coursing and now this some clubs wont want to touch him, silly lad.

 

In court today for poaching again (in February this year). Wonder if Fleetwood will be sending him back like we did?
