At last, some height in midfield.

 

I get the feeling he turned down Exeter because they only offered 12 months and a 2 year contract is the reason he came.

Obviously I don't know as fact but it does seem common to move for a lengthier contact with the older players.

 

My thoughts exactly. I'm hoping this helps with the zonal set up as he can now take Smallwoods place on the back stick.

 

That might have something to do with it, but I think as with Williams, location played a big part.

 

Yes, it was mentioned by him last week. “ Nearly joined BCFC in Jan but it couldn’t happen”, or similar.

 

Great signing. Real quality an experience added to the midfield. Can see Hughes deploying a formation of 2 holding midfielders in Smallwood & Mcdonald. If we can now add some pace on the wings, we'l look like a really strong side

I've no idea where he lives to be fair. He's moved around a bit so could be anywhere.

 

Excellent signing from a division above.
Now we must concentrate on adding pace to a squad of players with bags of experience.
Someone who can beat the first defender from a corner would be a start and long overdue.

 

If they are of his quality get the signed up!

I read that his family are based up north somewhere so I'm guessing Exeter was always going to be a short term fix for him.

 

Good signing, as above need legs and mobility around him.

Not sure why some are complaining about his age, we’ve only signed 3 players and one was 23, to which people complain they’d not heard of him and he wasn’t established.

 

He has not played many games in the last few years.

 

Also thought that - likely not one could assume. Also explains another reason why Clayton was offered a deal.

Due to his illness though. Not a lot you can do about that and along as he's over it, or at least managing it then it shouldn't cause an issue from what I've read.
