I don't think Hopkin was bullying them - that squad needed discipline, and not to have bad influences around the place. goid management to get the toxic characters away and training on their own.

This is what gets me in that they whinged about being treat like that when it was their behaviour and lack of application that got them treat like that originally.

Riley got toxic when he realised he was nowhere near the squad by all accounts as with Wright. Heard and read enough reports of poor behaviour and a lack of respect from that lot that it doesnt take much for me to believe they were whingeing about it somewhere.

Also see the crop of parents and hangers on who are arguing with fans on the internet. Comes from somewhere that you know..

 

Can you imagine the embarrassment if your dad turned up at work and had a go at your boss. Football more than ordinary jobs is very subjective and lots of people wear rose tinted glasses

 

I would hate it but in someone like young Cole's case I think their ego puts them above shame a bit sometimes. Ive known nuff deluded people who have no concept of embarrasment

To be fair though. It might have been merited to ostracise them. However it was publically known they were training separately and this will act like a face tattoo when looking for their next club so as a parent you can see why they would be protective justified or not

The fact that your Joey Barton, Ravel Morrison, Djibril Cisse, Nicolas Anelka and Mario Balotellis of the world can get a club is testament to the endless ego of a football manager to believe he is the only one who has the talent to get the best out of a player.

Sometimes people don’t get on with their gaffer, they move and have a great relationship with the boss. Josh Wright was out of the team for months and has returned to Orient like a hero.
