Morrison’s refused to get involved with the club due to certain people or persons being involved, so I suppose they cut their noses off.

JCT would be welcomed as main sponsors at a lot of places I’d imagine, so no, I don’t think they had to deal with Edin or the club if they didn’t want to.

JCT and Mittons have a long standing relationship with City long before Edin came along.

Mittons have a box and attend home and away. They'd be associated with the club if Peter Sutcliffe was chairman.

Morrisons have never really been interested in City.

Very true rod. Nowt to do with the bd postcode though. The physical border is just before the level crossing after eastburn so all of cross hills lies physically in North Yorkshire with a bd20 postcode, as does cowling with a bd22 code.

However the vast majority of bd20 and bd22 are inside West Yorkshire so as a result, postally crosshills falls into West Yorkshire as well. Both crosshills and cowling fall outside Bradford met and under Skipton in craven dc

 

Totally and utterly incorrect Inspector. Morrisons were involved at Board level through Ken himself being a Director for some 2/3 years, possibly the lower figure in 1973/74 and it was he, together with Jack Tordoff, who averted the Club going under by keeping the Bank at bay. The fact that they managed to achieve that without any fanfare is a lasting tribute to the pair of them so I would suggest, with respect, a bit more fact finding might have been appropriate.
Remember BPA left the FL in 1969 so some four years later the ninth largest city in the UK was facing no Football League presence. We as fans have a lot to be grateful for, at least those who remember. Jack and Ken were and always remained very close after that.
As to sponsorship my colleague at Morrisons, Martin Ackroyd the F.D. and myself annually canvassed for sponsorship at Board Meetings but it was decided if we did then what about the Bulls as they are now and the many other locations where we traded of had major employment such as Distribution depots, so it was never a runner and as far as I know is not today for probably the same reasons.
