    I'm presuming Edin has now found out we don't have a queue round Valley Parade outbidding each other for the shirt sponsorship and JCT know that only too well. Thats why i'm guessing Jack will be happy with the deal.

    Very pleased for City. We have bought a few cars from JCT over the years, despite not living in the area. Always found the prices competitive and the sales staff helpful. A local tie up with a leading firm can only be good for both parties.

    You never know, Old Tordoff is as canny as they come and sponsors are not hanging off trees like crab apples around Valley Parade. Certainly won't have paid anymore than he thought necessary.

    We have, that does not mean there was no friction between the sponsors and Edin at the time.

    I seem to recall a few weeks ago that Gibb was suggesting that he and Tordoff were going to bid to buy City. Given that Edin in particular and Stefan have said they are long term owners, then a public attempt to buy the club would have potentially been very unwelcome. As such I am surprised that this renewal has gone ahead, unless Gibb was talking well out of turn.

    Anything that can be done to repair the damage and get everyone behind the club, has to be a good thing. Give and take on all sides.

    Our 2 main sponsors have been associated a long time with City and are hardly likely to walk away whoever is in charge.

    They might not like the bloke, who knows, but its the club their backing not Edin.

    Like you say they don't have to like Edin, but they will stick around as long as they're getting what they want, let's face it they're not doing it out of the goodness of their hearts, all about the money.

    Agrèe.

    The cost is nothing to them to be fair.

    The shirt sponsors are big city fans travel home and away and maybe they love the ability to mix with the hierarchy.

    I'd doubt very much they'd get much business from being associated with the club.

    Good news regardless of rumours.

    A poor city like Bradford we are always going to struggle for big sponsorship of multi million/billion pound companies. But we are lucky that we have two major companies in Bradford, JCT600 and Morrisons. Imo we should be making more of this, get on bended knees if needs be, offer them their brand everywhere around the club. Even Jet2, although they're based in Leeds their logo isn't all over Elland Road, we should be doing what it takes to jump in there, 3 huge companies that all out side the Premier League would kill to have on their door step.

    Morrison’s are only marginally in Bradford, first chance they got they moved to within about 50 yards of the leeds border. There’s no chance of them ever sponsoring us.

    Next move they make will be out of Bradford, that’s how much they care for the city that built their empire

    The border on that side of the road is actually the pitches we train on. Other side of the path towards the school is Leeds.

    Yep. That is how I understood it. The west side of Apperley Lane is actually Bradford, whereas the east side is the neighbouring Local Authority. So the JCT headquarters as far as I can see it is in Leeds. http://observatory.bradford.gov.uk/resource/view?resourceId=3881

    However JCT suggests its address is ‘JCT600 Head Office, telephone 0113 250 2600 , Apperley Bridge, Bradford, West Yorkshire’. So a Leeds telephone number but a Bradford post code. Still Ilkley and Menston both have LS postcodes.

    My mate, when he lived in Birkenshaw, had a Leeds postcode, Bradford Phone code, and paid council tax to Kirklees council.

    In this instance post codes are irrelevant. If they are in the Metropolitan area we get the business rates in Bradford.
