Who knows what’s going on. DA keeps referring to some “secret” behind the scenes. Perhaps he’s been told he’s going to be released at the end of the season. Maybe he knows Rupp or Sparks are leaving? These signings all appear to be short term, and with that in mind, perhaps he’s given up? Along with the players. Cooke speaking after the match certainly seemed to be lost and bewildered, speaking like a man who had been given no direction or motivation. I’m pretty sure the players will be scratching their heads over the signing of not one, but two back up strikers, while at the same time using their other hand to wave goodbye to their captain,
Sparks is all about communication, brand building, trust and loyalty. What a shame there doesn’t seem to any of that at the club.

Not shifting at least 1 of Lavery or Robinson is wasting the budget. Something the CEO should've done something about. If he's not playing Evans either, then that's even more wasted money. It would appear the naivety of Sparks is playing into Adams hand.

 

More buttons than if he'd have handed out 18 month contracts, that's for sure.

Adams won't be going anywhere

 

I dio not like a large squad Adams, moves 3 out, signs 1 and brings in another 6 loans the squad is now generally quantity over quality.
Has the outfield defence being improved- no, the midfield been improved offensively on paper but yet to see if it bears fruit - still requires leadership and a solid Jones type. The attack besides Cook on paper appears to be overloaded by a bunch of players who do not find the net regular enough.
The debacle that is City appears to smell of a lack of decent planning and short termism.

If you can shift Guthrie and DMH you can shift those two. I don't believe for one minute that Adams wanted them to go. For some strange reason I think he'd see that as a failure on his part and wouldn't want to admit it. Evans is probably happy to sit out the rest of his contract because he wouldn't get anything close to what he's probably on now. Added to that he's also settled in the area.

Certainly not immediately, it was tongue in cheek in the main but brought about by previous experience in that we have actually done it before with Bowyer and Vaughan was our captain. Let’s all be honest, if we go on a bad run will anyone be shocked if it does happen? Sparks fully backed T & S, then a losing streak later and they were out of the door.

Sparks was trying to flex his new found muscle, bolstered with binning off underperforming players and weird contract extensions. Unfortunately it seems a lot of backfire has made him go into his shell. He hasn’t the balls to sack DA.

The last few games against us Delfouneso played well, with regards Canavan his recent form has been very poor, some even suggesting Songo is a better fit at CB.
I don't think Adams will leave Threlkeld out if fit but I'd happily play Hendrie at RB, and also give Staunton a run out along side Paudie.
