They have just sacked the manager they appointed 4 weeks ago…

    As an aside,

Im not having the general rupp needs to leave nonsense anymore, he could have binned off the club at the earliest opportunity (not at a loss either) due to all the whinging he gets. Instead he took his due diligence and knew these guys were crooks.

Jaheim Headley recalled by town. Impressed against us for Harrogate and would definitely like to see him here.

Hughes and the recruitment team will be judged on how it goes, so I’m happy for them to do their jobs. When people on here have been asked to provide an answer to replace a manager/player/owner it is often met with it’s not my job to find one. That’s right it’s Gent and Hughes so let them have a fair crack at the whip and judge accordingly.

I'm expecting promotion this season. If we don't get it i see that as abject failure.

Crichlow was excellent last night. The people cheering probably need to find another hobby as football doesn't seem to be their forte.

I think Smallwood is fine as a ball winner. What's lacking is someone who can play next to him and control games with purposeful possession, instead of the sideways and backwards sh*te we have now.

Couldn't agree with you and @Bronco@Bronco more.

Clubs who appoint DEREK ADAMS can get promoted after a couple of seasons of consistent management and recruitment.

Imagine what we can do with MARK HUGHES if we stick with him.

I doubt there's any City fan anywhere on Earth that would be ballsy enough to pretend Adams was fit to tie Hughes' boot laces.

If it doesn't work out this season, it will work out once we get it right.

Looks like contrary to what many were saying on here, crichlow is staying.

Crawley manager Matthew Ethrington has just quit. We certainly dodged a bullet with these clowns. Just remember the meltdown on Twitter and on here when Rupp rejected them.

I've not been impressed with Eisa. Now, fair enough he's coming back from real injury problems but if we're expecting him to fill the void then there's a real risk that we weaken the team at a time when we need to strengthen.

Time to show real ambition and bring in a quality replacement, and a top quality midfielder, then push for top 3.

Already on board, Matt Derbyshire. Age not an issue for me if he can still do the business

I reckon MH sees Derbyshire playing off Oliver, with the likes of Eisa or maybe Nevers as other options.

We need to go all out and sign 2 decent central midfield players in my opinion.

Central midfield by far our weakest link

Except at Tranmere when he scored two headers or against Salford when he set up Eisa with a header or ......

We get you prefer Oliver park, you've said it enough. I mean, at least you're consistent in your poor judgement and opinions I suppose.

We’re always saying ‘if we win the next two games’ ffs.
We’re ten points behind Carlisle (in third, not even top), with two games in hand.
Even if we win the games in hand we’re still adrift.
Far far too many people accepting us being average at best, underachieving and being bettered by far smaller clubs.
No wonder we’re in the doldrums year after year after year

Exactly, let everyone else have theirs too without you ramming it down their throat that they're wrong.

If people feel we are weaker than January 1st then so be it, if people believe Hughes is currently failing, so be it. If people think the club is an absolute mess and taking far too long to drag themselves out the said mess then so be it.

There are a million reasons, for all the above to be true, in fact many people share those same opinion.

Opinions are like arseholes, everyone has got one. No need to berate everyone's that appears different to yours

Yes, we are in 4th. Are we running away with the league? Clearly not.

It’s important we make improvements in Jan because and think we will be going up to get players in that are a better standard than league 2.

If we can get a few more more players in Jan and maybe get rid of the likes of Sutton then for me we have more of a chance of getting into them automatic places which now should be the aim for the club.

We know that Lewis, Platt, Smallwood, Wright are certainly better than league 2 and maybe 1 or 2 others but we still need better.

This January window is how it should always be. Get your summer recruitment right and supplement in January. In the past it’s been a mini overhaul of the squad. It can be no surprise to anyone that we’ve finished mid table when you try to bed a number of players twice a season.

For me one dominant ball carrying midfielder and a striker able to create for themselves.

No thanks. Dont begrudge him his move to Lincoln. Completely understood it but he wasnt up for the fight and his heart wasnt at City so Id avoid him.

Plymouth fans do seem to think its on. Would be a big loss for us, our best wide player by far. If happens i expect its one of those transfers with a large sell on fee attached. Always the danger with loan signings and players who do well i guess. Good luck to the lad if it happens, he's been a credit to himself while here.
