One season wonder last year. Prior to that 14 goals in 6 years. 2 goals this season.

    No thanks

Whatever fans think of him, looks like Rupp did do due diligence here and made the best decision for City. Believe it or not this was a over a year ago now!

A couple of fresh faces wouldn't go a miss in the pending window.
Outs inevitable far to many players claiming a wage with very little in game time.
Perhaps a replacement for Harratt, someone who can play alongside Cook or unused Oliver in a two partnership.
Midfield certainly needs an overhaul it gets over run most games.
Plenty of activity hopefully we definitely need to do business in this window but best not hold my breath.

Crawley manager Matthew Ethrington has just quit. We certainly dodged a bullet with these clowns. Just remember the meltdown on Twitter and on here when Rupp rejected them.

Hired on Nov 27th, left Dec 29th. Ties up with the rumours that the key players want out ASAP.

I seem to remember Rupp saying he had consulted and rejected. Whether it was just him or with RS/ Board members the correct decision for City was made. I suppose we will never know for sure, but Rupp did discuss legal redress because of their later claims suggesting a deal actually had been done.

They have just sacked the manager they appointed 4 weeks ago…

    As an aside,

Im not having the general rupp needs to leave nonsense anymore, he could have binned off the club at the earliest opportunity (not at a loss either) due to all the whinging he gets. Instead he took his due diligence and knew these guys were crooks.

I believe they both settled out of court and gave the money to charity.

as rupp was the defendant it heavily implies WAGMI were in the wrong.

One to ‘move on’ is Threlkeld. He can’t even get on the Oldham bench, never mind a start, and they are third bottom in the National League!

If we are to sign players we need people who can play the game at tempo and forwards with movement not just standing there with the hand in the air

Don't know how long his contract is at City Rod, but if it's longer than this summer, he needs paying off to create another space.

His loan expires on 2/1/2023. His contract with us ends in June. See if we could loan him to his Guardian, uncle Fester Derek, a nice spell at the seaside may do him good!

I think there will be a few outgoings this January.
    • Threlkeld will most likely be paid off
    • Odusina will probably go on loan, as mentioned here previously
    • I can see Ridehalgh leaving, Crichlow can play LB if needed. I'm guessing that Ridehalgh is on a decent wage here, he’s not even making the bench at the moment
    • With Gilliead an Smallwood firmly placed within the starting 11, I can also see East going out on loan. It appears that Hughes prefers to bring on Sutton when chasing a game an Songo when holding onto one
    • Angol has been poor this season. Would not be surprised to see him gone as well,
    • Young may also go out on loan, although id like to see him used more often, as Id imagine others here would too

We also have an abundance of wingers ; Chapman, Eisa, Perriera, Banks, Wright. Someone will make way, I feel it’l be Periera, although personally id like him to stay. I do think he can find his form from last season once we finally find an ideal dynamic in the middle of the park
