He would be way out of his depth here.

He's had a very underwhelming spell at Stevenage, played for about 15 non league clubs and now Ayr, who are about on a par with Avenue.

    No thanks

Did Guthrie keep him out of the Stevenage team?

To be fair, he was 18 when he had his 1 season in the Stevenage first team so not going to judge him on that. But seemingly hit some form in Scotland after a few decent seasons in the NLS. Don't think he's the type of player who will move this team forwards with our other options.

Do we need another striker ? We can't fit in the ones we have.

Harrat leaves in Jan and we take a bit of a gamble on this lad as third choice. He’s on a 2 year deal so there’d be a fee. I’d prefer the lad Langstaff from Notts County as a gamble as he looks to be a player on the up from non-league

That's an impressive goal scoring record non league or not 15 goals in 13 appearances, unfortunately he's hit a lean spell only scoring 2 in a 4 games run.

If we sign anyone it needs to be a no nonsense centre midfielder and a pacy centre back who will not mess about

Aye, some on here would want him dropped after a particularly lengthy lean spell like that.

Be interesting to see what we do in Jan.

Harratt will be gone youd think. Osadebe and Walker will be back by then. Almost like 2 new signings. I dont think the squad is a million miles off. Maybe by then we have found our rythm.

Im not convinced by either right back so could argue a case there. Platt seems steady away, Critchlow has shown glimpses of quality and Odusina is still young and learning. I dont think CB is a priority unless Critchlow goes. Not giving up on them yet anyway.

Probably do with another CM. Ive liked Gilli this year but Sutton and East aint the answer. Odasebe played CM at Walsall so he could be an option.

If everyone is fit then Hughes will have to find 3 shirts for Walker, Chapman, Banks, Angol, Dion, Wright, Young, Eisa and Osadebe (although think he may be used in CM).

I think Osadebe will be slotted into CM and be a more mobile option in the middle when he is back, but i would like to see another bodies in midfield. I must admit, i don't get the buzz around Gilliead in centre mid.

I think Gilliead has started the season well but i'm not sure he's the dynamic we need in midfield. Him and Smallwood seem to take up the same space at times, would much prefer a Lewis O'Brien type player in there, some more mobile who can go forward through the middle when teams give that space up when pressing.

I just don't get what he his role is. We all know Smallwood is the sitting CM, so Gilly should be the more mobile or at least the one to offer more in attack, but somehow isn't. He isn't the get stuck in type, he isn't a busy mobile type, he doesn't get goals or assists. And as you say, seems to play too close to Smallwood. Think we need someone who can influence a game more than he can. We've filled the loan quota, so will be interesting to see if they look in that area in Jan, would be a fee move.
