If Eisa is back and any good I’d be tempted to send Dion back in January. Harrat’s loan isn’t working for him or City so get shut of him and get another forward in. If we can bringing a more competitive centre-mid I’d be happy to see Sutton or Gilly gone. Also I’m not that confident I Hendrie-would prefer a different right back to challenge Halliday

Eisa has been out for a year an a half. I was really excited to see him play for us as he had a good record at scunny an was the type of fast direct player we needed on the wing. Unfortunately, I think that ship has now sailed. He’s too injury prone an I don’t see him being any better than wright.

Harratt is most certainly going back to Hudders. I feel sorry for the lad. He may of been sent off in his first game but I always thought he was the type of striker that would give us a cutting edge against the other teams, when the likes of Oliver & Cook were off form. Don’t see why he can’t get any minutes in when our other strikers aren’t working

Periera had a somewhat better display in the second half compared to previous outings. I agree with what someone on here said earlier, Once Walker gets back fit, we may start seeing the best of him again. You’d have be daft to send him back to Luton, there’s a long way to go in the season an once he’s back firing on all cylinders, he’l be the first name on the team sheet. Whether or not he should be playing week in week out whilst he’s off form is a completely different matter

I don’t rate Halliday. He’s too slow. Only has one foot, Prone to making a mistake every game. Is afraid to go forward at times. Platt has bailed him out this season on more than one occasion

We need reinforcements in the midfield. Lets look at things logically Here :
    • Lewis is imo the best keeper in the League
    • Our CB pairing is one of the stronger ones in the division
    • We have one of the most in-form strikers in the Football League
    • An our wingers are capable of taking a man on an creating chances an scoring, given the chance to do so

so by process of elimination, The midfield pairing must be the cog in the machine that needs tweaking. Smallwood is our captain an a good one at that, does the business that goes under the radar. The issue is his partner. Gilliead has had good games at CM, but as a pair, they are both too defensive & don’t dictate play enough or create enough chances. Either East should be given a run of games or we should bring someone else in, as Sutton isn’t gonna cut it

There was a laudable cheer in the first half from the stands when Crichlow played a rare forward pass ...

Crichlow was excellent last night. The people cheering probably need to find another hobby as football doesn't seem to be their forte.

To be fair as good as crichlow can be at Colchester Oliver was screaming for a through ball like cooky got at Salford but he always seemed to go back to platt or Lewis or ridalgh

Ridehalgh hasn’t played in the last 8 league games. He has been out injured. The form of Foulds would suggest it will be difficult for him to walk back into the team.

I know he's been out injured rod I was talking about the Colchester game, and crichlow still tends to be a bit apprehensive about driving forward or playing the through ball and either goes back or sideways. I agree about foulds there looks to be a decent footballer developing there

3 games since Critchlow has been back, we've conceded one goal from a last minute penalty. Think that puts that one to bed.

Foulds has been our form player over those games since Ridehalgh has been missing. His ball to Periera for his assist to Wright was the reason Periara had the time to thread the needle. Always looking to be positive.

He's also a centre half not an attacking midfielder. If he didn't think the pass was on and retained possession then fair enough.

How many times has Gillead or Smallwood threaded through passes like his at Salford? That's probably the question you should be asking

I get why Smallwood isn't going to cut teams up with the ball. Never has been that player and won't be at this stage. Gilliead however has been a winger or attacking mid his entire career. Cutting balls to attackers should have been something he can do after being a first team L1/2 attacker for 6 or 7 seasons now. But seemingly looks allergic to playing a ball forward. It could well be a tactic choice or a management decision, just seems weird that we would have a guy who's spent his entire career targeting attacking areas, now barely getting the ball forwards.

Indeed, we have some right bellends who watch City.
On the highlights from Tuesday loud and clear someone having a right go at Foulds for not taking his man on, Foulds who has been one of our most consistent players this season ffs.
The guy shouting sounds like he couldn't run 10 yards without dying which is ironic.

Yep. 3 attacking midfielders/wingers in the team and we're worried that the centre half struggles to spot a defence splitting pass or the left back struggles to beat a man.

    I give up.

Gilly played really well second half Tuesday. His energy levels are second to none. Do I think we lack a certain type of central midfielder though? Yeah I do.

Yeah, out left back who is a constant threat with assists and incisive infield passes. Some fans are thick as mince.

To be fair, decent mince isn't that thick and can be easily split. The tickos are more like thick as an end of life buffalo cut into huge steak chuncks
