Agree with most of this, but not sure the defence can wait. Clearly BRE is a liability and out of favor with T&S, if Paudie or AOC get injured were left with the kids, and that'll cost us. Think we need at least one solid experienced CB, preferably left sided.

Depending on the situation with Hosannah, possibly cover at RB although FCD is doing ok there and Sutton can cover there (but it'd be a shame to take him from his new found attacking positions though)

Moving up the field, at least one pacey winger, someone who can really stretch teams on the counter and someone who can face up a defender, take him on and beat him (pretty much like Morris did to us the other night against Grimsby)

Then for me it has to be a commanding central midfielder. Another ball winner capable of turning defence into attack and carrying the ball forward. Too much of our game is played aimlessly hoofing from the first two thirds of the pitch.

The striker situation goes without saying really, one if not two. I guess all that hinges on if we can offload . BRE, DMH, Guthrie can all do one for me. It'll be interesting to see if Turnbull has our targets identified and we move quickly at the beginning of thd window.

Hope you're correct. But how do you know this? I thought he was expected to be out for months.

 

Expect him to be back playing before end of January. ;-)

No doubt someone will come on and say 'Yes but dont you remember ............ they we're brilliant when they came into league football at 42 etc '

 

Many were suggesting maybe a better fitness/conditioning coach would help with our injury problems just wondering with Phil Parkinson leaving Sunderland would Nick Allamby be available or is he still at Sunderland.
