He has a place close to Tranmere training ground that’s why he is keen

Maybe Tranmere weren't dangling a carrot in front of him then. Had they done, he would have probably gone there...

I'm annoyed at this situation but he has a 2 year deal and is paid well for this level. He will just have to get on with it. He signed a contract so needs to honor it. Just like we do.

In an ideal world I would agree he does need to honour his contract
However he didn't kick up a fuss about being loaned out last season to help us I imagine he was only too pleased to go,would you really want a player/bench warmer who as you say is well paid to "sulk" because he doesn't want to be here
We should have learned after the NW situation players-agents have all the power these days

Fact, not opinion suggests that for whatever reason, he is constantly on the move. So even if he is ‘professional’, then he has a habit of changing clubs. Apart from his contract, his behaviour as evidenced below, would suggest it would be time for him to move on.

He fell out with Bowyer, not the club. Maybe McCall puts an arm around him like he did Mark Marshall.....

Well if the salary cap is voted in today he is going to have to accept a big decrease in wages unless they offset it with less players if he moves to Tranmere

Indeed I believe he did fall out with Bowyer but the club did "back" Bowyer in the decision to send him out on loan play him out of position etc etc
Had Bowyer gone before Vaughan it may well have been a different scenario now
Bowyer wasn't the only one who wanted him off the wage bill everyone (barring the club) could see that he could not get a tune out of the strikers he had but the senior management refused to act until it was too late
Nothing much has changed in the higher echelons of our club maybe that's praying on his mind

If by "close" you mean a 45 min drive on a clear run, or well over an hour at rush hour, then yes. For example, he could get to Bolton's training ground in a similar time from where he lives in Formby.

The manager wanted rid - the CEO/owner agreed to his wishes.

Didn't we have an issue for 2-3 years where the CEO/owner didn't respect the managers wishes and went above their head. It was a hot topic on here if you missed it.

Back the manager, don't back the manager - club can't win with fans.

The manager by that time had shown he was incapable of success he took us backwards (again) you could see it I could see it but the CEO for some reason didn't until it was too late
I imagine rightly or wrongly that it was a straight choice either Bowyer or Vaughan the two obviously didn't get on and you have to admit they made the wrong choice maybe Vaughan remembers this and that's why he wants out

I agree they backed the wrong horse.

But Bowyer was still the manager at that point in time and he wanted rid to bring in his new players so they didn't stand in his way. Rightly or wrongly our fans have asked for a CEO that backs the manager and in this instance they did.

Remember the outrage when Rahic told the manager No. We can't pick and choose...

Your points are wrong at the time Vaughan departed we were in a play off spot

I can believe you think Bowyer was a good manager just as you think Donaldson is a good striker
With the players at his disposal we should have been 10points clear at the top
Bowyer should have gone earlier to give the new manager a chance of getting a tune out of both Doyle and Vaughan but you believe we did the right thing just because we were in a play off spot
The signs were there for all to see
    Amazing

That's a very good point actually about the salary cap if he signs for Tranmere after it is put in place, possibly even today

The interviews are on the official club channels, and the club’s own interviewer isn’t going to ask if he’s staying or going.

Maybe he doesn't need to ask, all sorts of rumours doing the rounds, he wants out but he also wants all of his contract or part of it paying up, how the f**k does that work.
He could rot on the bench for me if it's true although it would make it difficult in the dressing room, I hope this rumour is wrong but his past career suggests even with his injuries he has had too many clubs for me.

I wonder if he will try and claim he was unfairly treated in January and therefore, is entitled to have his contract paid up as some sort of compensation. I hope it doesn't get nasty.
