The second half of last season proved it and it didn’t take Bowyer long to see it. In a team desperate to stay in league one he couldn’t hold a place

Good players handle tight marking better. I remember a couple of years a go when we had a decent team we played a poor Gillingham side we had two sometimes three players on Bradley Dack and yet he ran the show

Not YET, we won't !! (Harrogate may make him their 'stellar signing', if the money is right ! )
As for the same old rubbish ? That is rubbish in itself !
Jack (the messiah) failed to ride tackles, failed to make space when multi marked (enabling space for others !!!), and rarely tracked back to help team mates, for the cause (An' when he did, he fecked up !).
SO .......... NOW I've painted him to look like Josh Wright ............ Begin your debate .........Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Briggus likes this. -

I'd be amazed if Jack Payne wasn't earning more than McCarten. and quite rightly. he's a lot better.

No chance of him returning. I would definitely have him back though. I suspect he will have a queue of league 1 clubs vying for his signature

No, ney, never.

I firstly questioned his technical ability - Latterly, whilst being double marked out of a game .......He failed to take those same markers out of the game (shifting wide, say), allowing for his team mates to take advantage of the numbers.
And we all agreed, that defensively, he was below what we expected. There was no drive or passion, in that part of his game. I posted on here at the time, the loan fees we were paying, made him a luxury we could do without.
A very decent League one player, and far too good (and expensive) for League 2.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand... -
His release doesn’t really come as a shock. They have shit loads of coin and can now sign better. Bolly for them. -
