Casual fans don't decide they want to watch City though, they watch because its the best option right then for their football fix. For example, I'm a Man Utd fan, lived in the Manchester Region from about 2 to 7 before my dad's job moved him down south. It wasn't viable for me to go and watch Man Utd play so if I wanted to watch football on a Saturday afternoon my choice was to go and watch Farnborough Town or if they were playing away hope that Aldershot Town were at home. With Farnborough being a commuter town and Aldershot being an Army town alot of my friends were in the same boat where they supported clubs that were significant distances away, I had friends who supported Forest, Newcastle, Rangers amongst others so we would go and watch Farnborough or Aldershot most Saturday. We weren't fans of the club, if we could have watched our team on TV we certainly would have, given the chance to watch a top-level game on TV we probably would have taken it as well because at that level its not even great football but it was all we had. And that's the thing with Casual fans, they aren't choosing to watch a game because they want to watch that team, they choose to watch that team because they don't have a free choice so pick the best option on a variety of factors. You throw 3PM PL games into the mix (plus you would have to allow foreign games that currently can't be shown) and you have way more factors pushing people away from going to games unless they are an actual fan

I could see a point where PL stay on 3PM blackout and maybe Championship whilst L1 and L2 can have their games on iFollow on a pay per view basis.
That way the attraction is still there for casual fans to attend as the big boys will not be available -

Interesting error in there.

I speaking more of the quality of service from the dodgy server where you're getting your stream from.
Dodgy providers seem to be more interested in your cash than quality of service, therefore may have a contention ratio on their servers, whereby once there's a significant number of subscribers on it, the buffering and pixilation occurs.Interested Bystander and Bronco like this. -
Pretty clear explanation on how to watch games on Saturdays. I would recommend buying the vpn, free ones tend to "throttle" your Internet speed to make you buy the full version.
If there's a few of you who can't attend the game, an idea would be to share the vpn. You can usually use the same account on various devices, so the subscription fee becomes more manageable -

I would take a slightly different angle on ifollow in that it should be allowed on Saturday etc but should be priced as per the admission fee for an adult, as per the relevant club hosting the game.
Yes I accept this is potentially costly to a fan (especially those in lesser age paying categories) but you then could have multiple persons watching same game and clubs have to recoup potential losses, whilst making potential gains, especially in the lower leagues where finance seems an ongoing issue.
I used to be against the idea of ifollow on a Saturday afternoon but as @Kevin1954 alludes and I'm sure many others can relate to and the fact you can watch on a dodgy firestick for a few quid benefits whom exactly?
Always be those whom take advantage. But it time to put the football consumer to the fore.WilsdenBantam and Kevin1954 like this. -
Dave I said I would pay double the price of a season ticket and I wasn’t kidding. It’s worth it! My health isn’t.
I’m lucky it’s affordable for me but others not so lucky, then put it down to money gained as little as they may charge, against money lost!WilsdenBantam and bantamdave41 like this. -

I don’t see it seriously denting away following. Those who are going to Exeter this weekend are going anyway. If it’s a game I can get to I’ll go rather than watch on telly. I’m 100% certain the club would get more money out of me if they had Saturday iFollow.

If it was live on Sky I'd record it to watch after the City match. Otherwise I'd just have to make do with highlights on MotD. -

Based on the current fixture list and based on the current rules, these are City's league matches that are due to be streamed live in the UK. It should be noted that the bank holiday fixtures are shown at the discretion of the home club and , therefore the fixtures on 26 December and 15 April will depend on City agreeing (that should be a given), whilst the fixture on 18 April will be subject to the agreement of Colchester United.
Any other fixtures moved from Saturday 3pm will also be made available (unless moved for a live Sky broadcast).
