It's so ridiculous that people have to resort to this.
Anyone who loves going to watch live away games is going to go anyway.
I would still go to a handful of away games every season, regardless of whether I could watch them on iFollow. But there's a heap of away games that I could be legitimately paying for, thereby benefitting my club, that I would not be attending live. So I have to listen for free on the radio and neither I nor the club get maximum benefit.
I'm convinced that clubs are losing money by not allowing fans to subscribe to watch away matches on iFollow.

The FA are just encouraging fans to watch the games by roundabout or illegal streams then cry foul when it happens, Fans just want to watch games and pay legally to do it, It is the FA that cause the illagality not the fans

If I cannot make a City match, then I don’t check to see if there is a none league game on. I find some other none football activity.
If City were on I-Follow, then there is a very good chance that I would pay to watch. -
This year there will be others tentative about going back to live matches after all thats gone on.
The EFL should have embraced the last 18 months and carried on Ifollow on Saturdays.
all theyve done now is forced fans into buying updated firesticks and watching illegal streams.
now the club sees not a penny of the stream fee.
i spent hundreds on ifollow during the pandemic and wasn’t alone looking at the sales figures the club put up.
id rarely pay to go away as dont have the time or inclination to travel all day anymore, but a wham bam, fire up the Ipad or phone when about, then log off at 5 pm after a defeat, is much more preferable.
for balance, i know some that attend would revert to streams too, but would it be that many? The away crowd are hardcore fanatics that go for the day out in many cases. They’ll still go.The Evidence, nicknameless, Mike Hunt and 4 others like this. -

Prisons are over flowing and we're releasing dangerous criminals early to make room yet we're going to bang up Fred for watching Cheltenham away on a dodgy firestick?

Supporters across the EFL have become very well acquainted with iFollow over the last year or so and I see this cascading of information as something that will be going on amongst fans at all the EFL's clubs.
The trickle becomes a large wave and then a large chunk of revenue will be lost to the EFL for many years to come. It is a mess of the EFL and its clubs' own making.Stop hovering to collapse... IIRC, Midweek games were possible to watch on Ifollow before the pandemic - even those at home - it is the Saturday 3 pm ones that they have always banned?

So on Saturday's I can stay at home and watch my Scottish team lose (they are very good at losing), but I'm not allowed to watch City win.
English football (at the FA/PL/EFL level) is completely out of touch with the fans.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...Briggus, Captain Grumpy, Bronco and 1 other person like this. -
So those of us who still don't feel comfortable about being in large crowds will be penalised. I have a 92 year old father who only has one working lung, and a sister in law in remission from breast cancer. Despite really wishing I could be back at VP, especially for the first home match, there is no way that I am going to run that sort of risk. So it's back to the Dynamic Duo on Radio Leeds, and their idiosyncratic approach to the English language.

It really pisses me off that it's come to this. I'd much rather be paying a fee for a legit iFollow stream for away games that I wouldn't otherwise attend, if only they were made available in a rational world.Kevin1954, Allotment Bantam, borderlescott and 1 other person like this.
