Oldham were good today and so were we defensively we were excellent. We lacked a bit of bite in midfield but still created a lot of chances Angol and Gillead stood out

 

Ridehalgh was actually very good and his crossing is excellent

Thought Evans was doing pretty well. Pity he picked up the injury.

 

I think some people are misunderstanding Adams style of play. Lots of times this year we wont dominate possession but its chances created which is key

 

Interestingly, just had a look at an Oldham forum, and they are rather less than complimentary about their keeper

Absolutely. There was no one anywhere near him when he went down. Blatant cheating.

 

Blimey I watched a different game. Crosses rained in from his side and he looked slow and out of position on occasion.

 

Meant their fans he was on about atmosphere thought it was good

 

We'll certainly need to play better with these three being our next three opponents, Stevenage, Mansfield Town, and Leyton Orient all above us at this moment.

Oldham were the better team just that their keeper was dreadful.

Not surprising. He was awful, and its the only reason we won.

 

Fergie when asked what was the most important quality a manager needs to win games said " Good Luck" Seems Adams might have it after today.

 

are you @Fordy in disguise? Just kidding. Though i disagree that the best team lost. Pretty sure Adams was on the receiving end of several wins that they didn't 'deserve'. I'd take another season of undeserved wins just to get out of this sh1thole league.

 

Agreed. I thought the first half was an entertaining and pretty even game. We really struggled to retain the ball second half when Evans went off and Cooke had to drop back. But we still carved them apart at pace on the break several times. Our finishing let us down, but on genuine chances created we were streets ahead. Having said that, I thought they looked decent, but toothless.

As they should be! For the stick R O’D gets he’s like Neuer in comparison, their keeper also looked like he didn’t even want to be there and just trudged off after the pen went in.
