I'd say it was his team mates who let him down (although his miss first half let us off the hook) as I've posted the best team at Valley Parade for me, at times carved us open for fun and usually Law was very much a part of it.
As a visiting team they tried to play football, didn't time waste, made one or two poor tackles and got penalised for them, but all round good to watch thank goodness they couldn't finish.

 

What is good about our position in the league table is we haven't had our best side out because of injuries, start getting some of our injured payers back and we can kick on again IMO.

 

First 20 minutes we were dire and I thought their attacking play was better than any team I've seen this season, OK I missed the Forest Green game , can't agree mate Law was involved with most of their forward play and to comment ROD didn't have a save to make that was hardly because of Law, it was because of his fellow forwards letting him down.
We got better as the game went on but IMO Law was still Exeter's best player.

Basically the totting up procedure for yellow cards is now done by individual competition.

For example - previously, 5 yellows across (for example) 3 EFL games, one EFL Cup and one FA Cup would equal a ban from whatever the next game was. Now, you’d have to get 5 yellows just in EFL games and you’d be banned from the next EFL game.

Red cards still see a ban across whatever the next game/s are - so as our next game is the FA Cup and Cooke’s sending off carries a one match ban, he misses the FA Cup game (even though the red card was in an EFL game).

 

We'll have to disagree. The highlights clearly show Oteh scored the goal (despite the Quest show commentary) as far as I am concerned.

 

3 of our next 4 are away. Colchester and Plymouth away next up, 2 tricky fixtures. I admire our resilience but our quality on the ball is going to have to kick up a notch if we want to stay in the top 3 over the next month.

 

I’d say Exeter were a forward short of being the best team to visit us this season

 

The best team to visit us was FGR. Not the prettiest, but the most effective. I know we had tons of the ball and decent pressure, but in terms of controlling the game their way, they played it perfectly. A classic shit house victory.

 

This league is there for the taking. If we can still be in the top 4 or 5 going into the new year, then once we get the likes of Donaldson, Palmer and Devitt back for more options, and hopefully we still have Cooke and Connolly, I feel confident we can get one of those top 3 spots.

Recalling Doyle would be an additional bonus, if thats possible

 

I agree. Be a special moment would that. And we should bust a gut to get it. 2-3 good additions in January would put it in our reach.

 

I've no idea on the specifics but I've definitely read that he is watching every game now.

 

I spoke to Stefan before the game yesterday and commented that it was it was good to see him there. He told me that he comes regularly to the games.
Saw him again at the final whistle and he was full of smiles.

My friend flies in from Torremolinos every home game so am sure Stefan can make the effort to get here

 

So what's the logic being applied here then? Connolly was heading into their box, had clearly outpaced the last defender and would have had a shooting opportunity, which was denied when he was pulled back. I don't get why that's not a red card.

 

I think its a must win game this one, get back into thick of it. Can't afford to lose with teams below us now picking up wins.

 

We need to get a grip in midfield and not let Law spray it around at his leisure. If we play like we did for last 30 minutes against Crawley they will run rings round us.

 

Oh my days. Oh well lose this and we steal a march on others for plans for next year.
