Some very good points there Fordy.

Main one is the lack of interest from our owner which could manifest into lack of sufficient funds to back Adams in the January window. This league is the weakest for years in my opinion and we should have walked the Autos this season. Still plenty of time of course to mount a challenge and I think Adams is the right manager at the helm to give us that chance.

 

You still haven’t answered my 242 Fordy so I assume you know so little of how the Club runs your pontification are empty wafts of non factual hot air. Looks like we might have been lucky there, but Northampton manager and his teams gamesmanship was in full flow - perhaps if they hadn't tried to milk everything this key decision would have been viewed differently.

As posted yesterday the standard of refereeing (for ALL teams) seems to be getting worse in the lower leagues, but one defence I will give them is I think the directions on 'a bit more physical leniency ' are so vague they don't really know what they are doing anymore

The FA could solve alot of this overnight, but have continually been to craven or couldn't care less. To wit, a la Rugby Union, only the captain is allowed to approach or question the referee.

 

The referee was poor, plus he had obviously told his assistants what to flag for and what not to flag for.
Gillead had every right to go for that ball with the keeper and barely caught him yet he gets booked. Then in the aftermath their player pushes Gillead in the chest with both hands and no action is taken, I thought that was a sending off offense.
