I owe you the manners of a response oh Regal one and to a large degree you are quite right. Jon Whatmuff in the City Gent often refers to me as "Poacher turned Gamekeeper". I think all our memories dull but if you look back there have been many more times that were not good enough. I vividly remember the last game of 1980/81, Hereford at home lost 1-0 in front of some 1200 fans on a concrete hard pitch with no grass and me shouting "Got your work cut out here Roy" to incoming Roy McFarland, we all know what came next.

I'm not defending anything, my wife will tell you I still have a burning ambition for the Club and suffer my regrets just the same as always but a little quieter, mostly due to the fact she is at the same games and sometimes sees things differently.

In the post you comment on, I was merely saying (obviously not clear enough) that we have had a bad run with injuries which is now clearing, example no keeper on the bench and not a full complement of outfield subs. Added to that I was pointing out that I hoped the injury situation would clear and hinted that in my view come January with no injuries and perhaps additions we would do well. You only have to look at the early games this season to see we got points and scored goals. Further, looking at our recent matches with a depleted squad we have had good results away at Newport, Swindon and Vale and what you certainly cannot argue is that if those games had been last season we would have had a kicking, look at games last time at the likes of Oldham and compare.

Football often turns on small things, injuries, one piece of luck, whatever. Keep the faith and keep your crown on!

That was a poor performance. Really poor.

I'd love to hear the rationale for lumping the ball up to Robinson when it's abundantly clear to everyone that he hasn't the capabilities to either hold the ball up or run in behind.

The substitutions were negative and predictable. Zero effort made to win that game and Songo'o and Gilliead should never have seen out the 90.

Adams needs to realise that he isn't managing in front of a man and his dog at Morecambe anymore. Four straight draws at home is nowhere near good enough.

 

Roger, today was as bad as the fare you and I watched over fifty years ago, in the old Paddock. It's now two wins in the last eighteen games. This manager has a league win rate of less than 30%. I know what you'd have had to say about such statistics fifty years, but am aware your circumstances are different now. So, I'll say it for you, but in much milder terms - 'IT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!".

 

Didn't expect yesterday's match to yield much from an entertainment perspective once I found out one of the Three Stooges was officiating.

Boyesons performance only papers over what was a truly awful game of football. Neither of these sides should trouble the promotion spots but the standard of this league is that awful one of us may well go up. No one above a 6 out of 10 in the ratings today.

I don’t rate Robinson in that lone striker role at all. He’s not strong enough and would be better in a two as you’ve mentioned. He seems to sniff out mistakes or shoots on sight which is good, but the times he’s played alone I think he’s been mostly ineffective.

 

What do we expect from this game?

“we dominated the game, if we had taken our chances we could have won”

same old broken record?

 

Not sure if it's been mentioned already but how was Cousin-Dawson's tackle not a sending off? From where I was sat it looked like the most obvious red card I've seen live for ages!

Maybe I'm being unfair.

I understand "problems that contribute to the outcome", our limitations and understand our current injury situation but we seem to have reasons (excuses) readily available? It's becoming tiring, we'll in my eyes....

Two players short? Which positions? Assume we bring in the two, give me a feel on how our team would look like come January..

Maybe my aspirations are too high? Maybe, I should look elsewhere for my Saturday afternoon entertainment. After 35 years, I'm just not enjoying my bradford city experience.

I don’t always agree with Fordy but he’s probably just going on previous experiences over the last 4 years, it’s always next window…

 

I wonder if @Fordy117 once applied to be an associate director and was rejected? It would explain his ridiculous attitude towards the free work they done for the club over the years.

Personally I think the idea of having high ranking, successful business men help run your club, and paying the club for the honour of doing so, is pure genius.
