If we played with "constant gamesmanship/cheating" and it got us out this god awful league you wouldn't here many fans complain we are second best at that too unfortunately

Disagree. He had an enormous bearing on the result. His constant blowing up for non fouls meant the game was stop start and suited Northamptons approach not to lose.

 

Some good points Keefly. Although people moan we are unbeaten against the current top five. January would suggest we will be capable of beating them all next time round, then see where we are.

 

O’Donnell should have come out and closed him down but stood there flapping his arms after it went in he is poor and should be benched

Well, of course, there were nowhere near 15k there today. Big gaps, which are only going to get bigger. It's getting so tedious watching this lot. I can't believe we are within touching distance of the play offs. It's fast getting to the stage where I think I need my head testing not only watching this crap, but even commenting on it.

 

Do you mean who’re club signs in January Roger? Bolton signed eight or so first team players and went on a run to promotion. City could to that, but it would need Stefan to put his hand in his pocket. I think we all know how likely that is.

How can you applaud that poor showing. I'm lost trying to understand it Dave. Maybe I'm being overly critical but I want more from a performance and game.

 

Maybe it’s us apathetic fans that actually understand the problems that contribute to the outcome of matches. Look at the Exeter game as a recent example, get Angol sent off and you stop our biggest threat. Injuries have dictated to who the manager can pick each week which dictates the setup of the team.
I said it earlier this season, we are 2 players short of the the best team the manager can put out and that includes the rest of the team being fully fit. Given the injury’s and disruption to the team so far, as long as we are within 6 points of the playoffs come January we will be in a good position for the run in.

For me the Stevenage game was the benchmark we should be aiming for as we dominated for the whole game. But since then injury’s have disrupted our game.

 

I watched via iFollow and was 45mins behind then the damn thing crashed at HT.

Sounds as though the second half was the same as the first, which was poor. We were second to the ball too many times. Looked tired. Cooke was ineffective. Robinson given zero chance in our approach to going forward. The effect of the week really looked as though it took its toll and for me, if we want to get promoted, that’s simply not good enough.

Adams came here as a winner - he said it himself. I’m fully behind him but we urgently need to see improvements and finding a way to win games.
