No, he has a point.

Northampton came for a draw and our super manager set up to counter them. He said that after the match - we went with four at the back otherwise Northampton's full backs would have got behind us apparently.

He said similar about our formation against Port Vale, Exeter etc... We are setting up to counter the opposition not trying to win the game. So when teams like Northampton or Forest Green come to draw, we just get suckered into some kind of turgid stalemate.

It's awful management. And worse that he's reluctant to make any changes to formation or tactics as the game goes on. Port Vale is the only match so far where we pressed for a winner late in the second half.

 

It's how my children and I first started coming to City. My son and I have been season ticket holders since 1995. No issues with this initiative at all.

 

Can you name an instance where fans have actually stopped a club going down the toilet?

Southend were protesting months before non league and is still a basket case of a club.

i love this idea that “fan power” is a thing but its none existent. last thing a club needs is a boycott. How is it supposed to continue if it gets no cash in?

 

Like "we're increasing Season Ticket prices so we can have a promotion level budget".

If they are, I think City could argue that Angol is eligible to play as his were 2 yellows not a straight red.
I notice that the Northampton manager complained that the referee at Exeter had been at fault in their match at Bristol last week. He kicked the ball to a Bristol player who took a quick free kick which led to a Rovers goal.

 

Need a win today if we still have promotion aspirations, good chance to claw points back on the top 7 before on paper an easy run of games. VP needs to become a fortress.

What I am hating most about this season is oppo teams coming and being all anti-football. Northampton today didn't come to win. They came not to lose and con the ref as much as they could. And didn't they just do that. I thought I was watching Northampton diving school today, go anywhere near them and they were on the floor. They went down more than a cheap prostitute up Thornton Road.

ROD beaten AGAIN at his near post and WTF was that shite punch all about second half. Catch the ball man.

We lost so many 1 to 1 headers today.

Robinson was thrown under the bus by DA playing him as a lone striker.

Ridalgh and Vernam linked up well down the left.

The upside? We haven't lost to the teams who occupy the places we should be in right now.

 

Our goal was no luckier than theirs to be fair.

1 defensive mistake each, 1-1 draw. I think FCD was the lad who slipped and Ridehalgh and O'Donnell were hung out to dry - nothing they could have done.

I actually thought Lavery ballsed up the pass to Vernam, but luckily Vernam was more clinical than normal.

 

I simply cannot believe some folk applauded that rubbish at the final whistle. So poor, was that game.

We have so many apathetic fans that have so little desire.

Maybe it’s us apathetic fans that actually understand the problems that contribute to the outcome of matches. Look at the Exeter game as a recent example, get Angol sent off and you stop our biggest threat. Injuries have dictated to who the manager can pick each week which dictates the setup of the team.
I said it earlier this season, we are 2 players short of the the best team the manager can put out and that includes the rest of the team being fully fit. Given the injury’s and disruption to the team so far, as long as we are within 6 points of the playoffs come January we will be in a good position for the run in.

For me the Stevenage game was the benchmark we should be aiming for as we dominated for the whole game. But since then injury’s have disrupted our game.

 

If only we had signed a striker who can do this...

 

I think some of the criticism of this performance was a bit over the top. Yes we had nothing up front because our only two forwards of note are out. But their goal came totally out of the blue they never looked liked scoring especially after they lost the big loanee upfront.
I thought we battled hard throughout which was in doubt after the long midweek trip and extra time.we need two or three in January in attacking positions but if we can stay in touch until then I think we can make 2022 a good one

 

The one thing for sure is that our competitors will make better additions than ourselves

 

We’ll only “take off” if we change the clubs Ryanair mindset of “you’ve got a cheap seat,what else do you want you ungrateful tw@t”.
