Leaving Vernan out/resting him worked last week against Swindon, will Adams leave him out this week after we were so successful without him? I'm not so sure. Another thing to consider is that with no Callum Cooke last week Gillead and Lavery were very prominent and looked very good on the ball going forward. If fit will Adams bring Cooke back, bearing in mind that when he does play our forward play is mainly centred around him.

I think Paudie plays better and is less hot headed, picking up silly bookings when Canavan plays. I also think playing Songo'o with them in a three would work in most games but that's up to Adams who maybe doesn't see it like that.

 

I'd like to see some new midfield players but even with what we've already got, playing that formation we played last week I think we would get the likes of Sutton and Gillead making more late runs into the box and finding space to pick up those loose balls, like Sutton did with his goal last week.
