I lived round the corner for a few years whilst I was at uni down there so have a soft spot for them, they were my second team while I was down there and went to a fair few matches - do like the standing terrace behind the goal. Still a shit stadium and small club though, don't know what Barton was on about - looked and sounded like he was on crack in that interview... he's a couple of weeks away from occasioning a vicious assault on someone, he looks like he's coming apart at the seams. Cook missed a great chance early. Then we had the mad scramble in the box that looked like a handball. Vernam missed a glancing header to the left and there was also a glanced header from someone to the right. That was all first half.

second half we had ball in net from Paudie when offside but didn’t quite create as much. We seemed happier to sit back. But those chances on edge of six yard box all needed converting. At this level i guess we won’t convert every one, but we should have been at least 2-0 up by ht

 

Recruitment will lose us more games this season, as it stands, as long as we can keep within a few points of the playoffs and we buy a couple of players in January we will be in with a shout come the end of the season. A good run will also help. Still a long way to go yet.

The first half was really good football from us in everything except the vital part finishing thought it was a mistake bringing scales on and not Canavan but hands up to Pitman scored a brilliant goal which he has done throughout his career gutting but a good exciting match

 

We need some consistency at the club and to give someone time to succeed, it won’t happen overnight as much as we all want success.
