    Yes that’s what all over teams players do when they visit the Memorial Ground, take in the surroundings and take pictures and realise just how big the mighty Bristol Rovers are…

    That or they are sending the pics to the department of health and safety. He sounds like someone who’s never actually been to the club he’s managing, the whole place looks non league and completely overshadowed by their city neighbours.

    The last time I went to Bristol Rovers I recall the roof in the away stand was a large gazebo like structure.
    The disabled away supporters were housed under canvas and their carers were given plastic garden chairs to sit on.
    Facilities are woeful.

    It’s still a dump but I quite like going there - brother-in-law lives over that way so we always find a decent pub, good crack with the locals and then pray it doesn’t rain!

    Supporting Bradford City for far too long, has taught me that optimism can often be dashed, by what should be a routine outing. So would it surprise me? No is the answer. Would a 1-1 draw be the end of the world? No. However it would sap enthusiasm and erode the possibility of achieving automatic promotion. We have Swindon away and Forest Green at home, far more strenuous challenges coming up and we realistically need maximum points against Bristol and Hartlepool.

    If his team is anything like his own playing style, this could be an ugly one.

    i’d take a scrappy 1-0 right now.

    Not so sure we can keep a third clean sheet in a row as our last two opponents have fluffed some absolute sitters.

    So victory might depend on whether we can sort out our own tame finishing.
