Ultimately we got what we deserved on the back of that second half. We conceded possession to them and seemed happy for them to have it.
That said, I believe Adams should have subbed Gillead, he'd run his course. He didn't play badly but fresh legs up front may have helped the ball stick .

 

Fair play to the boys, really good first half - but no argument we had to put them out of sight and didn't.

We haven't half signed some crocks, and this leads me to another load of bollocks that is continually spouted - we are getting players back. What this fails to cover is that we ARE going to lose other players, as happened today.

The medical side of our recruitment and subsequent player fitness has yet again been a bodge job, despite the assurances RS gave. You are always going to get injuries but we have to be better than this if we are going to achieve any of our goals.

I've just listened to his rambling pre-Carlisle press conference. Sounded like the job is getting on top of him. Some very strange comments . A handsome City win tomorrow should, hopefully, leave him free to concentrate on his court cases.

 

They were out on their feet, why didn't Adams use the bench to freshen it up? Poor management in my opinion. They were by far the worst team I've seen in a long time.

We didn't need to score. We were already winning. What we needed was fresh legs up the pitch to chase and harass their defenders and to run down the long balls. We needed fresh legs to give the defenders a bit of a breathers.

The quality argument is cobblers in this scenario. We just needed players to come on and work hard. It was a great opportunity to bring the squad together. To make Robinson and Lavery feel like they've contributed to a win.

I have to say Adams appears a very divisive manager. Either youre in his group or you're not and if you're not then there's nothing you can do about it apparently.

 

Agree with this as how could Robinson or Lavery weaken the front line that was already running on empty. Also DA does appear to have his favourites and everyone else can go to shit.

 

Was a cracking header. Pitman. This is what you get when you bring in experienced players with a bit of quality.

 

1st half dominant. Brizzle looked a bottom half side. Very poor. We miss too many chances. 2nd half. Asleep at the start to allow a free header equaliser. Good response. Back on the front foot. Dominant again. Worth our lead.
theb 65 mins onwards looked knackered could not win any ball up front or in midfield. Desperate for fresh legs. Scales wasn’t enough to stem the tide. Needed more energy for the last 20 mins. Sadly that equaliser was coming. Adams that’s on you. .

 

Controversial opinion I know, especially after the disappointment of throwing way 2points.
However, I don't think we're too far away from being a side capable of getting out of this division in the right direction.

The winning streak last season never produced any of the football than we're showing in parts this season
Stevenage, Mansfield, parts of Rochdale game, and parts of Bristol game all illustrates the quality we can produce.
That can and does rip teams open.

Vernan can create mayhem, there was a 10minute spell at the start of the second half where he was almost unplayable.

Bizarrely after seeing the last few games, I feel we're making progress, even with an injury hit and small squad

Fair do to Barton he made a good change at half time bringing the lad Thomas on for Hoole and from his first touch we struggled to contain the lad, but once again when we have the chances we had and only score 1 in the first half and dominate teams they realise they have nothing to lose throwing men forward, very disappointing result.

No it isn’t I go with friends kind of the whole point, I’d no longer go to a game by myself when once upon a time I’d have gone by myself on a freezing Tuesday night by myself if nobody else could come and have done then sulk about the result for days. Ridehalgh injury was a real blow defensively and attacking wise actually. His understanding and link up play with Vernam has been one of our biggest pluses so far this season.
