We need some consistency at the club and to give someone time to succeed, it won’t happen overnight as much as we all want success.

I’m getting vibes of 2011-12 from a few fans(not a majority it must be said) when plenty were calling Parky Plonkinson. Then we had a regime going through managers and more likely to be in non league than league 1, before they made the best decision they ever made and stood with him despite a terrible season and let him put his stamp on the club. The rest as we know is history, but we can always learn from it. Back him and I’m confident we’ll be league 1 within 2 years, get rid and I think we’ll be non league within 3.

A very good summary and aligns to my thinking. Don't get me wrong, I'm questioning some of the stuff Adams does. Will Sparks hold his nerve or knee jerk. That's my fear.

Parkinson came in inheriting the worst squad in the club's modern history with the aim of keeping us up, it was clear relatively early to see what he was trying to do and, though it wasn't pretty, it worked.

Adams has been lined up for this job, with the aim of a promotion push, since last December. From interviews it doesn't take much reading between the lines to understand he had input into our recruitment last January and he was here in the summer. I am yet to work out what he is trying to do with the team, although he is clear that nothing is his fault.

I'm not saying he should be sacked but he isn't impressing so far, I couldn't care less what he did at Morecambe.

 

Whilst I don't think he's anywhere near as good as he thinks he is, there's no dispute that Adams has to be given time. We can't keep on hiring managers every six months with the consequent upheaval that causes.

Certainly, it's too early to judge him and, even though we've been generally average, such is lack of quality in the division, a play off place shouldn't be beyond us.

 

Great for them, not So much for us folk sat amongst them. I moved out the NWC two years ago because they were becoming a pain in the arse every game, today's lot weren't so bad but I hope it doesn't become the norm. Allocate a block every year so everyone knows and leave it be

 

It was from Sparks and obviously what all fans want, but the cynic in me says it was a slogan to sell season tickets no more. Can anyone say this team is good enough? What about if we went up, just how many of the players are good enough? Not many.

 

It isn't good enough, that performance today proved it. The squad is threadbare and he refuses to play either Robinson or Lavery despite us needing to go two up top today.

 

You do a lot of wind up posts on here so hard to tell if you’re serious or not, but if Adams was doing recruitment or helping in anyway with another club than the one he was contracted to then I’d suggest that’s illegal and could land both City and Adams in hot water if proven. What should he be doing with these world beaters? 15 from last season are still here and had McCall stayed or the T & S gamble failed we’d have called that the worst team of all time and be most likely in non league. That team still had Wells and Hanson who without we wouldn’t have been promoted, goals get you promoted are you telling me this team has more goals in it that the one 10 year ago? When Gilliead is one of the main attacking players lol.

 

No, I fully believe the aim is go up this season and it wasn't to sell season tickets.

However, the team and players are not good enough. We have to hope we are still in the mix in Jan.

 

To be fair it was Mr Sparks who said the new manager was involved with transfer/contract negotiations before the season finished I thought it extremely odd at the time
