What a strange direction this thread has gone. I personally don't mind Kiwomya on comms, I've heard a lot worse.

 

Good. Most decent teams are generally disliked by the opposition, especially at this level.

What I would say though, is that they were more physical than us yesterday. And every time there was any sort of block or challenge in our box they were screaming for a penalty. That’s not a criticism though - they actually look a better side than the one that beat us at their place. I think they’ll have enough to stay up.

 

Just get Fordy to do it. It’d be worth the tenner match pass fee alone.

 

I can just picture him sat on the bonnet of his Merc as it comes out of the car wash!

My favourite from yesterday was when he was really confused about what half of a half is. He couldn't work it out and eventually went with "first piece of the half".

 

My own favourite was as the players came out for the second half. Prompted by Raynor who asked what Trueman and Sellars would have been saying at half time

'Well Jamie, they need to pass it better and when those chances come, they need to take those chances'

Unless you are living under a rock you will also understand in the media now it seems that they want two people doing on sport broadcasting. Gary Neville is poor at it, Carra is poor at it.

At local level it will be extremely tough to find two people that are good at broadcasting. Has nothing to do with race.

If you can't understand why you are wrong then I worry about you.

The only way the BBC Radio Leeds commentaries will improve is if someone contacts them and points out that they are broadcasting to away supporters as well as City.
I don't do Twitter but am sure that many members of this forum do and could make their feelings known to Jamie Raynor and co.
Unfortunately Andy K has gone from punctuating every sentence with " You know" to thinking he is representing the missing crowd and becoming a cheerleader.

 

Totally disagree there. I think Neville in particular is one of the best in the business. Him and Carragher together are a good double act.

Neville is a failed manager as is souness and hoddle and the rest so i hate it when they say others managers should be doing this and that,they should offer their opinion and that's all

 

No mate I am talking about match broadcasting. They are so bad together that they hardly do joint matches now.

Monday Night Football they are the best in the business I agree. Certainly Carragher.

Last season the BBC were running adverts that said 'as passionate as you are' regarding local stations' football commentary.

They advertised the fact that they cheered when the local team scored. They're not going to do a complete 180 and start insisting on 50-50 commentary on local stations just because of a travel ban.

 

I don’t see the fuss good commentator poor summariser. Followed by the sort of interviews people have wanted for years.

 

Radio Leeds top bods won’t pick up on Kiwomya yelping, if you ever listen to a Leeds Utd commentary, opposing fans of Leeds have for years had to listen to Noel Whelan with his annoying GET IN every time Leeds score.
