Important match with out push up the table. A poor city team lost 1.0 at Holker Street, but this should be three points with our new found beast upfront. I'm going a handsome win at 3.0 and an unchanged team, adding Cook on the bench instead of The Don.

Same line-up. Would fancy giving cook and Stevens a decent run out second half if possible.

Barrow have been in better form in recent weeks (three wins in their last six and 8th in the League 2 form table) so it should be a tough game, but aren't they all in a league in which most teams are much of a muchness.

I fancy us to nick it. We still haven't see how a City side under Trueman and Sellars react to going a goal behind....and I hope we are still none the wiser after Saturday.

with regards to the team....we won comfortably in the second half at Southend but it was a heavy pitch, as it was at Cambridge, so that is two long away trips in the last seven days. It is times like this having a strong bench with Canavan, Donaldson, Cook, Stevens and maybe Burrell will really help us.

I dunno if that poor first half display at Southend was the conditions or players feeling a bit leggy only two days after Cambridge - the second half improved effort suggests maybe it wasn't the latter? but it is nice to have options to freshen it up in the second half on Saturday if we see another flat display early on.

Southend scored one and should have scored three due to our sloppy defending. We've not been like that recently so as you say BL, hope it was down to the conditions.

I thought we we bossed it up until we scored. We then let them back in to the game with some sloppy defending.
I thought Southend looked bright at the start of the second half but we were much better over the course of that half and saw them off.
Barrow will probably be another stern test. The good news is the pitch hasn't been played on for a few weeks. Which means we can play it on the deck more than we could on Tuesday night. I've seen turnip fields more suited to football than Sarf Ends 'pitch'

With a game on Tuesday I wonder if T&S might look to freshen it up with a couple of changes. I'd be loathed to change a winning team but with 2 games again this week and a tough upcoming schedule can we afford to just keep flogging them?

I know we complained about the postponements but perhaps they came at a good time to give a few tired legs a break.

Given that we've only just returned from our 'winter break' maybe T&S will give it a couple more games before tinkering too much with the set up?
What would be good to see is Cook coming on for spell instead of The Don.
No distespect to him but we've needed someone who can come on and give the opposion something to think about rather than a substitution that simply runs the clock down.

There’s snow forecast Saturday morning. Hope it won’t be a problem.

Barrow have signed 8 new players so far including Devitt , so I think we need to be on the ball straight from the off.

A bit of challenge with their recent form, I am going for a 2-1 City win. Onwards and upwards come on you yellows.

Do you mean the Tuesday ahead - 2nd Feb? I don't think we have a game, do we?

My mistake, I thought Scunthorpe was this week.

As you were with the line up then!

The Barrow fans on their forum seem to be scared of Rowe and Cook - have they had previous with them ?

They both used to play for them, so probably worried about the law of the ex's scoring against you

Tougher game that it appears on league table standings. I'm going for a 2-2 draw to keep the unbeaten run going, 3 points would be better of course

Barrows return to form has seen them accumulate 10 points from 15. Decent enough.

But, it would appear, the achilles heel is away form with 4 defeats in 5, including a 1-0 defeat at Southend last time out.
