I thought that added a lot to the experience, personally.

 

Nothing to do with him being an ex player then? He was correct about the lack of a warm up routine under Stuart and squad strength and should be used for his thoughts after the game. He's not a commentator by a long way and Radio Leeds should pick the best they can get regardless of race, creed or colour.

with regards to the team....we won comfortably in the second half at Southend but it was a heavy pitch, as it was at Cambridge, so that is two long away trips in the last seven days. It is times like this having a strong bench with Canavan, Donaldson, Cook, Stevens and maybe Burrell will really help us.

I dunno if that poor first half display at Southend was the conditions or players feeling a bit leggy only two days after Cambridge - the second half improved effort suggests maybe it wasn't the latter? but it is nice to have options to freshen it up in the second half on Saturday if we see another flat display early on.

 

Wouldn't want all those imaginary people slipping outside

 

Barrow have signed 8 new players so far including Devitt , so I think we need to be on the ball straight from the off.

To he fair some of our more experienced defenders can be found wanting at times...

So great to have a genuinely two footed goalscorer. He cut inside from his right and buried it with his left without a second thought.

 

There was a cracking block tackle by Cousin-Dawson in our penalty area. Brilliantly timed.

 

Great run from Clarke, but notice Sutton charging into the six yard box, then busting a gut to get back into position.

we are defending poorly but also being out muscled and outplayed in midfield

 

Southend and Grimsby both losing. 8 points and 2 games in hand on the bottom 2.
