Oh yes fully aware they are taking their cut as well. Bigger cake bigger slice.

Now that Carlisle have sold out, give or take odd one, their fans are stressing about getting here. No return trains and their usual coach supplier is fully booked. That means a lot of cars looking for somewhere to park around VP

29th December last year Harrogate at home. We won which in itself is remarkable 1-0

It can also include the majority of block E. They would just have to move the tarpaulins and make the spectators in there exit in block F exactly the same as the do now.

If you mean the seating segregation, that is already reflected in how many fans are affected by having to move the seats' tarp coverings between the blocks of supporters. If however you mean the huge doors of the concourse then that is less of an issue than it currently is. The doors are aligned with the small gap between Blocks D & E and the plan had been to position some stewards to direct away fans away from the home exits.

just thinking how it will look on Sunday, City fans in all 4 corners of the ground and City fans behind both goals. No pressure/abuse from opposition fans when taking corners, whilst we can dish out as much as we can to Carlisle.. seems like a nice little tactic to me

For those interested in how the income is split

5.5 The proceeds of each match (including replayed matches and admittance to the away Club’s ground where a beamback is provided) shall after paying thereout the travelling and/or hotel expenses of the Visiting Club (calculated in accordance with Rules 5.1 to 5.3), the ground and other expenses of the match including Value Added Tax, floodlighting of the playing pitch and ancillary lighting (not to exceed £200), advertising, printing, postage, police charges, costs incurred pursuant to Rule 2.7 turnstile operators, stewards and contribution to first aid helpers shall hereafter be referred to as ‘the Semi Final Net Gate Receipts Before Levy’.

5.6 A levy amounting to 3% of the Semi Final Net Gate Receipts Before Levy shall be payable in accordance with Article 36. The balance of the net proceeds after deduction of the levy represents the 'Net Gate Receipts' and such Net Gate Receipts shall be divided as follows:

5.6.1 50% of the Net Gate Receipts shall be paid into the Pool Account referred to in Article 35; and

5.6.2 the remaining 50% of the Net Gate Receipts shall be aggregated, Division by Division, and each Division's aggregated monies shall be shared equally amongst the four Clubs taking part in that Division's Play-Off matches.

So we'll get less than 12.5% off the proceeds?

Yes .. which makes a mockery of the response that one of the advantages of making these changes is to maximise our revenues.

    Yeah.

Our 20k gate will go into the pot with the 4k who bother to turn up to Salford, the 10k at Stockport and 15k at Carlisle. So income from 49k of spectators will end up distributed mainly the EFL with that of 24.5k split 4 ways. So based on gates, we will be about 14k down, where as Salford will be 2k up.

That doesn’t sound particularly smart to me. Stewards have been useless across all games across all leagues as of late.

the current method is the most secure, instead of risking fan safety for a minor inconvenience at best.

would rather have to move seat then get punched in the face by some drugged up nutter because they lost to the mighty bantams

    50,000 for the semi-finals over the four games - at £20 a head that's £1m
    50,000 for the final at £50 = £2.5m
    Total £3.5m
12.5% is over £400k as a rough guide.
Add on Merchandise and other matchday revenue and could be worth £500k+

Income from final is not included. That is treated separately with a similar split but the last bit is only two ways

What a great idea. Every bit of advantage we can gain has to be used. We had Crewe on the ropes , start of the second half , and had cancelled out the two goal lead. Right in front of me behind the goal ,Kelvin Mellor , took the ball off a ball boy and threw it away at a goal kick for them , telling him to slow it down. Our idiots then stopped the game even more , thus giving their manager time to get into them . Game changed again, i am convinced , without the stoppages , we would have gone on to score again. All history now. I do not like the dark arts , but if we have to use them so be it, everyone else does.
Middlesborough playoff's 88 . Their pitch was like a ploughed field , they had watered and trained on it all week, we had beaten them 3 times already and could run rings around them, you can not run in ankle deep mud and they out battled us.

Yep. It goes into a pot that if I remember correctly is split across the league
