You're right that there will have been season ticket holders counted in Monday's total but not actually present, so because all tickets for Sunday's game have to be purchased, I'm guessing everyone buying one intends to be there. Could that actually result in there being more actual bums on seats on Sunday than there were on Monday, even though the official figure given might be lower?

Amazing going, far more than Burton in 2013. The fan base has grown a lot, and some think we’ll struggle to take more than 20k to Wembley lol.
Hopefully the club can begin to capitalise and rise up the leagues.Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...FrenchBantam, Hulmebantam, Idlebantam and 6 others like this. -

Harsh. When I read that I assumed that only ST holders could buy tickets. Ppl rushed to get their own seats but due to the glitches they had all been greyed out. So then they bought any old seats. A combination of poor communication and computer faults. Please don’t blame fans.RCarol, Bronco, Idlebantam and 5 others like this. -

If our fans behind the goals make a difference, why not do it all season?
We’d have pissed the league if it was that easy.bantamdave41, ahar964, Rogered Tart and 5 others like this. -
So just to summarise what I think has happened after reading through this and the away thread and to see if I am reading it correctly?
Somebody in the Club alongside a consultation with a fan or two has totally misread the rules and has decided to allocate Carlisle too many tickets. This has then led to the current allocation arrangement, which was not required as the inflated allocation could have been accommodated within the usual away areas of the ground anyway.
The additional revenue for the Club if all the extra away tickets are sold will be £14,000, divided by 5 (EFL, and the four play off clubs) = £2,900. Plus a bit of extra revenue in the MR for the beverage franchise.
And this figure needs to be balanced against policing, stewards and all the other unseen costs for the Club and fans.
The advantage being quoted is having home fans behind both goals, though again needs to be balanced against having 30% more away fans in the ground than required.
No other Club has misread the rules as such, nor thought it a good idea and have followed suit.
Please feel free to correct as required. I may have misread what fellow posters have posted.Last to Leave, Inspector, Kevin1954 and 5 others like this. -

Cut off after 1 hour 45 minutes.
I decided to try and buy all six, it wont let me proceed.
I have e-mailed Mick Lamb.
Really feel for the staff and Mick trying to sort out this fiasco.
I think the responsibility is on Townson!! He is in charge of Ticketing, Data & CRM.
The system is not fit for purpose.
Hopefully Mick can pull a rabbit Bantam out of the hat!bantamdave41, Inspector, Onside and 5 others like this. -

Just why did we have to be turfed out of the Midland Road? Surely the TL Dallas and the usual away block would have sufficed? Carlisle don't get many more tickets this way, but season ticket holders have to move to the crappy seats. Daft decision.

Oh dear! What a balls up.
We were going to book tonight, but got confused by how many seats had supposedly been sold (when they hadn't, apparently), and we got kicked off the system twice while we were going through the steps!
We'll give it another go tomorrow.
Not concerned about not getting a ticket, but would prefer to be sat in the Midland Road.
None of it made much sense. We've been moved, but others could reserve their own seats, but only if they could figure out that the system was greying out their own seats as 'sold'
Not sure who this is all fair to, but losing our seats to Cumbrians who can't observe a minute's silence is annoying!!Morley Bantam, stubgate13, Storck and 4 others like this. -

Personally I've just bought a different seat in the other end of Midland Road and it doesn't really bother me that much but it just comes across that the club haven't really given much thought to those home fans who may be stuck with sitting in seats they didn't really want to where everyone else is OK. There really wasn't any need for this we are playing Carilse not Man City.Silverbantam, Jayteebee, Kopendin1964 and 4 others like this. -
