I agree. I think my only point was when those in the Midland Road have been moved in the past the arrangement was that all tickets were up for grabs. This time those in the Midland Road have to put up with the seats that are the least attractive.
There was no need for this to happen.

As Storck mentioned it should have been one or the other.

He started following me on Twitter yesterday evening after I replied to a few posts about this fiasco. Although I do know him personally as he used to be an allotment rep on the Council's allotment forum. I managed to message him asking why the decision was taken to move those in the Midland Road. Then he protected his tweets. Don't suppose I will get a reply now.

This guy DID NOT make the seating allocation / location decision in 4 hours , if at all.

Decided beforehand, as its very likely the WY Police, security company , Risk Assessments undertaken and catering company will all have to have been consulted from the outset.

I have a philosophy in life, if something isn’t broken , DONT TRY AND FIX IT! .

Can you or anybody else provide me with Marco's email address at VP?

Does anybody have Ryan Sparks email address as well?

They are both about to receive a series of emails from a group of very disgruntled fans.

If the club wants to change the arrangements for away fans that will impact directly on home fans seating arrangements they should consult those fans who are affected. It looks high handed and chaotic. To announce it with no consultation is the road to chaos. The MR arrangements should have been announced in a separate email and sent out to all fans. Then to not communicate the sale of ST seats effectively has added to the chaos. Sparks needs to take control of this and lead the staff or this could turn into an even bigger mess.

Well if the response he gave to the 25 yearers questions is anything to go by i wish you the best of luck. The twitter reply he posted mirrors his somewhat shoulder shrugging response to that.

From previous exchanges, I don't underestimate the likely response.

However, Marco has already said very publicly that existing seats will be reserved .. without any caveats. I'll be asking why that isn't the case for the 3,000 or so ST fans in the Midland Rd stand.

I don't think what I paid gives me hospitality, although as I posted yesterday a big difference between the club website prices and what I've finished up paying, but don't get me started with regards the club pissing fans off in certain areas of the ground, the poor sods in the Midland Road Stand have once again drawn the short straw, why not give Carlisle the same location as Orient yesterday for the sake of a few bob more, I suppose there must be a reason ?.

If anyone wanted proof other bodies weren’t consulted beforehand

    Here’s evidence.

Clearly a Risk Assessment and Police consultations have taken place, and here’s a responding risk mitigation for all to see from BCAFC site.

“Blocks F and G of The Bradford Lifts Stand, and both tiers of The TL Dallas Stand will also be open to home supporters for the encounter, though fans are advised that alcohol cannot be served in The TL Dallas Stand whatsoever.”

Dennis I may be wrong but years ago didn't it used to be in the small print for season tickets for Midland Rd that you're purchasing one on the understanding that you may be moved should the clubs need require it?

The away ticket allocation for play off games is 10%. Carlisle have been allocated 2,440 tickets. This is clearly slightly over 10% of the ground capacity, but taking away one of the Midland Road blocks would likely take them under 10%.

As regards home supporters being moved out of seats, I suspect the club will quote clause 2.3 from the ticketing terms and conditions.

The club could have avoided all this hoo-ha by putting out better communications to begin with.

You have to wonder why this had not been sorted prior to the Orient game (last week) then just go live after we knew we were in the play offs.

No idea. Apart from they want city supporters at both ends. Madness to change the arrangement without consultation and inform fans over a period of time. Even if they can do it without consultation. How to p fans off in one foul swoop, this would take 1st prize.

I don't think that's quite right @Wakefield Bantam@Wakefield Bantam. The away team has a right to 2,000 tickets or 10% of the ground capacity if that is fewer than 2,000.
