Talksport pundit and convicted racist Trevor Sinclair no less. On the death of a 96 year old woman Trevor wants to make it all about him.
Utter crettin.

 

Don't give him the attention that he so obviously craves.

 

Queen Elizabeth II RIP.

A icon of our times. A light for all of us to follow when times were dark. You are missed already.

I followed him on Twitter and have unfollowed and blocked his account, simple act that all who think is comments are poor should do. Instead people give him exactly what he wants, he may even strike gold and get a racist comment to make the day about himself.

 

Our country and society in general are what you allude to above. I have no love for the royal family but the Queen above all others seemed to stand for dignity and respect. Something completely lacking in todays social media obsessed world.

 

What a great upstanding human being and role model :
In January 1999, Sinclair was convicted of causing criminal damage to a car, following a night of drinking with other West Ham players at the club's Christmas party in Romford.

In November 2017, Sinclair was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, common assault and criminal damage after a woman was hit by a car in Lytham St Annnes.

On 2 January 2018, Sinclair was convicted of drink driving, urinating in a police car and racially abusing a police officer by calling him a 'white c*nt'. He was sentenced to 150 hours of unpaid work, disqualified from driving for 20 months and ordered to pay £500 compensation to the abused police officer.

Saw the following on Arrse. Those of you who served will probably know of that site; I never did, but various family members have indeed "loitered in the way of harm" (as one ex-soldier once put it) in the Queen's service. There are a couple of good threads there; a few have linked to tributes from Obama and Macron; both are particularly touching.

The second Elizabethan age has ended; any future Elizabeth will have quite the job on her hands to come up to the standards of the first two!

Yes indeed, and she kept her promise right to the end. If we all would do our duties -- to ourselves, our families, our country/ies -- as well and as diligently as she did hers, this world would be a far better place.

Had some Dalwhinnie and Walker's shortbread for afternoon tea today, and one last toast to the Queen. It's tough to write that "last." When will the next toast to "the Queen" be raised? It will happen, but almost certainly not in the lifetimes of anyone alive today. The monarchy will no doubt have changed again by then, yet still be the same. It's nice to have that tradition, to be a part of something that stretches back a thousand years.

It's odd the things that become family keepsakes, but our biscuit tin is one of them. It was made for the Coronation -- there are portraits of all the monarchs from the first Elizabeth onwards on the sides, and of ER II on the lid -- and originally held (I think) a Dundee cake. But ever since some short time after the Coronation it's been the family's biscuit tin.
