Harry Lewis Gone To Carlisle United

I hope come the end of the season, we can look back on this transfer an see it as a good bit of business by Sparks. Selling a keeper who had his head turned for a good bit of money, given the circumstances (were in league two, his form hasnt been the best, an his contract is running out)

 

We had a year option so the contract wasn't really an issue. His form was though.
I think I read 58% save % against 72% last season. Also, conceded 5 more goals than expected on the XG.
5 fewer goals conceded is probably worth 5/6 points and we'd be on the verge of the play-offs.

 

Wonder if he’ll get clapped or booed on his return to VP next year

 

I suppose it depends on the circumstances of his move. Did he ask for a move or was it really a surprise inquiry by Carlisle and an offer we, and Harry couldn’t refuse? Either way, I doubt there’ll be a Super Harry Lewis banner. Personally, if I was there I’d give him polite applause, last season he was a breath of fresh air,performed pretty well for us and generally seemed to be a a thoroughly likeable lad. Mind you, if it turns out he was agitating for move, then a lively booing will ensue.

 

I think he’ll get a clap. He’s not a legend but a good servant who gave his all for the club who seemed to ‘get it’ and had a good rapport with the fans up until that incident on the pre-season tour in Spain.

I think he’s better than Carlisle though. I hope we wipe the floor with them next season to shut up slimy Simpson

Lets be honest, he has left us to chase the money. I dont buy the L1 football nonsense as chances are they will be back in L2. I never fell for the up the chickens nonsense and how all the X mouth breathers fawned over him. He was here to do a job and not for the love of the club.

Had his head turned by Barnsley, turned to shite and now he has gone. He wont get nothing from me. Not bitter, just moved on. F him.

 

He was full of “I love the club, I love the supporters, if it wasn’t for Bradford I don’t know what I’d be doing now” bollocks. And then goes to a side who are more than likely back in League 2 next year. A money move! (But no one can blame him for that, he just needs to keep his powder dry).
