If Young wants money why can’t we offer him more? Obviously we can’t offer him promotion but who knows he could become a hero if he helps us up the ladder. Just a thought and a much cheaper option than trying to buy a new one. No guarantee’s.

I feel really sorry for GA he sounded thoroughly miserable on the radio just now.

 

His whole demeanor has changed recently. He looked thoroughly fed up at the presser on Thursday.

 

No point keeping Young if we arent gonna play to his strengths. It’l just be a repeat of Doyle

 

Think Young realises the problem is at the top and that looks highly unlikely to change for the foreseeable
Am sure he can get better money at a club with at least some prospects, even if by some miracle we do get further up the ladder nothing will change unless ..............
Same problem exists with trying to procure another striker our recruitment team (has proven) to be a lot to be desired
We really are the true definition of a basket case club a fact that I think GA is beginning to realise, his midweek interview and today's post match interview are as different as you can get to when he first took over

I feel for him. I took on some work 18 months ago, on the recommendation of people I'd worked for before. I came to realise that the working environment wasn't conducive to me being successful so I recently pulled the plug. They are very keen for me to resume but I'll only do so if the working conditions improve. As I don't need the work the ball's in my court but if GA feels like me he must feel like he's taken on a poisoned chalice.

Sooner we can facilitate a sale the better - best thing Rupp can do with this sales money is hire the best brokers / consultants to actively facilitate the sale of the club.

Doyle's wife has tweeted he has been ill all week with flu symptoms and has no idea how he played on Tuesday. So bad it seems, that one of his children were ready to call an ambulance for him on Wednesday!

They clearly would rather play an Ill Doyle than risk a knock to Lewis. Also explains why Lewis didn't come on when Doyle could barely stand

Why would it matter? Lewis has only played for city this year. If col was that ill could have easily played Lewis and he could still be sold to appear for another club this season. Or, if carlisle made it a condition of the bid, could have named a youth gk to sit on bench?

The point being Doyle was fairly ill yet they still chose to play him ahead of seemingly risking any potential injury to Lewis that may have scuppered the deal.

I know Doyle has played the other games in that tournament but why pick someone who isn't fit to play?

 

Especially when Alexander has openly said “I won’t play anyone who’s not fit”

 

Not listened to his interview today as yet but you're right the first part of his presser on Thursday when being asked about Lewis, asked about Young and transfers he sounded so deflated!!! Do you think he's been told by twitter boy that our finances aren't as good as thought and we need to 'realise' some of our saleable assets? The timing of that tweet from the journo and the timing of GA's demeanour diminishing.....or am I reading too much into it all....

 

I think Doyle's wife might be overegging this a bit, if he was that ill I doubt it would have taken until about the 80th minute for him to go back and when he did go down he was stretching his leg with what looked like cramp. If Lewis played and got injured I don't think anyone would've been happy, also if he played there's ever chance his head wouldn't be in it. If he was so bad on Wednesday I can't see how he would be in any state to be travelling down to Colchester yesterday plus the risk of it spreading to other players.

 

Mrs Doyle needs to stop living her and her family’s life on social media.
