Weird how people thinks Adams talks a load of tripe until he sarcastically says something they agree with

 

I suspect he thinks he said Alexander was our first choice, which I see a lot of people using a stick to beat him with online (including Width of a Post recently), but he didn't say that he said something along the lines of "all things considered, I'm confident GA was the No. 1 candidate", which is a bit more nuanced

He does. He has promotions in the football league to back it up.... But people let their own bias get int way of facts.

 

He does, but I think Chris was hinting more to the veiled comments he made about our club and the way it is run.

 

And that too! He's been there and done that so will likely know how we're run. And i doubt much has changed in the time since we binned him off.

He has the odd relegation too. Let's not make out he is some sort of super football font of all knowledge. He chose a career and is average at it.

 

Just heard an interview where GA stated he has no idea what the fee for Lewis was, or no idea what funds are available for new players.

I'm old school and think a manager should know, anyone else agree?

 

It isn't like it's a secret to him. I am sure if he wanted to know, the club would tell him. I don't think a manager should be involved in the finances of the club as managers come and go each year

No doubt he did. There’s still an awful lot of what else is in that post, that rings true.

 

Sam just said "Harry earned his opportunity at a higher level", which I think is the truth here.

Good for Lewis. Go to League One, perform like he did in his first season here, and we could easily be looking at a Championship player in the future.

For me, Harry Lewis was always better than Jon McLaughlin, yet look what McLaughlin achieved.

None of that is a knock on City, but it is disappointing that Lewis is now chasing the chance to play at a higher level elsewhere.

It suggests Harry Lewis doesn't believe Bradford City will get there this season, or possibly next.

I have to say, I agree with that sentiment.

I think we're going to become a bog standard League Two side under Graham Alexander.

 

He stated in the presser that he's not interested in the financial side of the club.
His job is to manage the players and get the best performances out of the team for his boss that's how he sees his role at the club.
Nothing wrong with that.

 

It's shocking if it's true. I'd expect the manager to be fully aware of the financial dealings of the club. If not, how on earth will he know which level of players he needs to be looking at?

 

I think the point is that GA has no say in who we bring in or sell, all down to Sparks and Gent.
