I loved tony McMahon a player with a bit of character and it would be worth signing him just to piss off @Fordy117

 

Agreed he has hardly been brilliant, but, when he came on against Cheltenham last week for mellor, he blocked more crosses into the box in the first 5 minutes of been on than mellor has all season.
When a team attacks down Mellors side it is almost a certainty that they will get a cross in. Would happily never see him play for city again.

That Sheff Utd side were a cut above anything I've seen at League 1 level. Wilder is a phenomenal coach who I expect to land a bigger job, soon.

 

I think if we can keep Ismail fit, Stuart will work wonders with him like he did Marshall. Both quick, direct runners, two footed and got good delivery which fits in perfectly with what we know McCall likes.

I have no preference what team Stuart plays, none at all.

Do not mind any players playing or not playing as I think it will be completely different regardless.

Many of us have been getting behind the team even through the very poor times, but welcome back mate, if you have Claret & Amber in your veins you can never turn your back on your club, as you say now is the time to come together, 3 points would be a great way for Stuart to start his new reign.

 

It feels good to be looking forward to a match. Of course I want 3 points and a drive towards tpromotion, but we have to be realistic. All of the above is now possible, which it wasn’t last week. That is the change that has happened. However, I am sure Stuart will get the best out of these players, and will build their confidence but it is not a given. However, what we can look forward to is actually watching football.
However, if we don’t make it this season I am really confident with the support from Rhodes and Rupp in the summer we will do it next season.

 

At the moment we need results more. I'd be happy with a win and glimmers of some football starting to be played

There are no guarantees in football. So saying we must win is irrelevant.. it is what it is... enjoy the game and atmosphere and hopefully we come away with 3 points.

Well it looks like the weather is on our side today, great start to the day no excuse for any City fan to stay away from todays game.
If Grimsby bring the 2000+ quoted we should achieve 16,000 today, hopefully the begining of a new era, no matter what fans previous opinions of Stuart's past as our manager are.
I'ts been a while since I was looking forward to a home game as much as this, I'm sure Grimsby and their fans will make it a great day, unfortunatly there'll be going home with nothing.

 

More positive in everything we tried to do, tried to play higher up the pitch.more coherent build up play. But for all our intent, the attacking quality wasnt there. Might come with more work in training but until stuart can change the squad, I think we'll stutter along. Lots of 7 out 10 performances. But no 8s or 9s

 

After last Saturday that was me finished with BCFC this season. But a week is long time in football and me and the rest of the Long Preston Supporters Club were back.

After the shite of the last few months, what a difference. Yes we lack quality and still seem to actually fear the ball but good Lord what an improvement on the Oldham game.
If Bore-yer had been given another week this could have been a massacre. We were pedestrian against a poor Oldham side. Against a team on the up like Grimsby it could have been terrible.
I won't disect the game. Others have done that already. But it was great to be at VP again . Onwards and upwards.
