Jesus wept, it's his first game back. If you're expecting any manager to completely change an average side into playing expansive passing football in a gale on a beach of a pitch then you need a reality check.

The players aren't the issue. It's the tactics and the coaching that's the issue. Can keep changing the personnel as much as he wants but playing 5 at the back sideways and backwards for 90 minutes the goals are going to be lacking. The Henley pass back to AOC was typical Bowyer ball. It just sums up his reign. All that fannying about at Mansfield as well. What's the point in signing all these midfielders if he's not allowing them to express themselves or to get themselves into the opposition box. The ball goes forward and it looks like an 8-0-2 formation. The midfield are about 40 yards deeper than the strikers. He's bad news and is making us into a laughing stock. I admire your positivity Park but's it's so misplaced in this situation. He's not even shown a glimpse that his team can create goals all year. Now the defence have given up there's only one direction we are heading. The new strikers are just going to be as frustrated as the last.

Setting off early today to lovely Bradford for the start of another era in the life of BCFC. Despite my slight scepticism I really hope this time Stuart smashes it starting today. Enjoy the game.

I'll be brutally honest Dave i couldn't care less what others think. My mind is made up, after watching nearly every game this season bar the odd away game, i can't stomach any more of his football. I'd got the warning sign earlier in the season, i know there are mitigating circumstances and i've tried not to look knee jerk in my reaction but this has been coming for a couple of months. I backed the team vocally against Cheltenham but i still wanted him out before that game.

I've drawn a line under it now. I won't be attending again until Bowyer has gone and if that's not until the Season Ticket deadline has gone then that's another 3 that won't be renewed.

I can accept defeat, what I can't accept is constant surrender.

I have to disagree, i have the brains of of a goldfish. Worst part is i don't dislike Bowyer as a person, he seems an amiable sort of bloke and Bradford isn't an easy club to manage, especially with very little in terms of direction from Rupp and Rhodes. But jeez he doesn't help himself with his team selection. We are no nearer to knowing what our strengths are as a team as we were in pre season. And thats 30 games.

Anybody else watch the interview with stuart? One line which was a breath of fresh air to hear.
"Yes we will look at grimsby and what they're good at, but it's about what WE do".
How long have we been waiting for Bowyer to say the same, instead of bigging up the opposition all the time.

Bowyer was booed for the abject lack of intent in his performances, not so much letting leads slip.

McCall has had this lot for 5 days and whilst the attacking quality wasnt where it needed to be, it was probably our most coherent performance of the season.

He will be but if you want to judge him after less than a week in the job then crack on. Me? I'll give him some time to implement certain things and then judge him fairly.

The Sheff Utd game was away and we got a good hiding. The home game was the best game I've seen at League 1 level. Two top draw teams playing expansive football doing everything they could to win.

Never wanted us to win so much tomorrow for many reasons

    1) people like @Park bantam@Park bantam will be like Bowyer had a good home record etc
    2) The fans - we need this after the Boryer bore. I can't believe experience and knowledgeable fans wanted to stick by one of the most boring managers in our history.
    3) McCall
    4) Rhodes- yes I hammer him at times but getting rid of Bowyer was the right call
    5) To get one ove Hanson, Clarke, Hendrie.

    6) Massive statement to the league! We back! 14-16k fans together! Be scared, be very scared- the Bradford boys(&girls) are back making all the noise! We're gunning for promotion this season!

Now, get down to VP tomorrow and help the lads win! Let's done this! We can still go up for sure now, it wouldn't of happened under Bowyer!

Slightly more enjoyable today, but we would have been booed off under Bowyer for letting that slip.

McCalls not daft, he knows he has inherited a lot of crap, he repeated a few times about the lack of quality in the side, despite the endeavour.

We still look a million miles from being a promotion side at the moment. We barely look like scoring.

Having said all that, a much better atmosphere and mood amongst the City fans.

Hats off to the Grimsby fans, brilliant support and I havent seen a goal celebrated like their goal since the night we beat Leeds

We wouldn't have got battered under Bowyer because the game would have nothing like the end-to-end entertainment value.

We might have got the same result, to be honest, just in a dire, dour, dismal manner.

And therein lies the point, of sorts. We were direct at times but when we were, it was purposeful. Not the side to side among a back 9 then lump it to Vaughan on his own nonsense that Bowyer had us doing. There was a marked difference between how we played yesterday and anything we saw under Bowyer

Your dislike of McCall as a manager is clouding your mind. I've not read anywhere that he's a miracle worker, more that the guy deserves another go as much as anyone else does. He will always have the goodwill of the fans and press, his demeanour and history at the club will always dictate that. He might succeed, he may not, but he'll always be 'McGod".

From the couple of times I've seen Jake at training Tuesday and again today he looks to be enjoying it as they all do, I think McCall will play Reeves on Saturday and if they implement what they are doing on the training pitch into the game I think Reeves wont have a problem playing positive balls for runners.

I'm not sure Novak and Donaldson can play together, they're two of the same player with the same obvious deficiencies. Should be one of them, with McCartan or Devitt behind. That said, I though Novak was by far the better of the two today.

Pritchard isn't a winger either, looked uncomfortable.

Enjoyable game though, much much better than the crap Bowyer served up. Draw probably fair. You can see Stuart has inherited a team who are uncomfortable in possession so it will take him some time to change the mentality.

Have a look at the facts.

Most on here have posted that we mixed it up a bit and there was a lot more possession than in recent games.

You, on your own, seem to think we played constant hoof ball.

I know where I'd put my money if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes.
