    Just seems like going backwards to me, does Gibb think there's more to be squeezed out of the club now it's in a more stable financial/infrastructure state.

    I'll believe it when I see it.

    Can't imagine Gibb wants anything to do with us, other than picking up easy money for his pension fund.

    And at Jack's time of life, I think he'll have other less stressful things to do with his life.

    Former Bradford City chairman Gordon Gibb is apparently considering a takeover consortium with Jack Tordoff according to freelance sports reporter Derm Tanner.

    EXCLUSIVE: just had very interesting chat with Gordon Gibb who tells me he is considering launching a takeover consortium @officialbantams along with Jack Tordoff.





    Gibb took over as chairman of Bradford City in 2002 and eventually resigned as chairman in 2004 with Julian Rhodes taking the reigns of the club, however, he is believed to still own Valley Parade with his pension fund.

    Local businessman Jack Tordoff is the founder of Motor Retail Company JCT600 that took a reported £1.251 billion turnover in 2018.

    Tordoff is a Bradford City fan and supposedly is part of a consortium who are interested in buying the club.

    The Telegraph and Argus released an article last year, explaining that JCT600 boss Tordoff was then revealed as “Bradford’s richest man” with him and his family reportedly being worth around £395m.


    If this consortium does attempt to takeover at Bradford City, it could be a huge surprise with the West Yorkshire club only recently being taken over in 2016 by German’s Edin Rahic and Stefan Rupp.

    During Rupp and Rahic’s first season in charge, the club reached the EFL League One play-off final, losing 1-0 to Millwall due to a late Steve Morrison goal.

    Last season was less successful for the Bantams, who sacked manager Stuart McCall early in the new year and then had Simon Grayson as a short-term boss, before he left at the end of the season.

    Last time I saw Tordoff he didn’t look in any fit state to have an input in the running of a football club.

    I think the issue for me is that Flamingo Land (Gibb) is hardly making a vast profit.     Jack Tordoff is now aged 83. Undoubtably a City fan., however he is unlikely to be able to take over the rigours of running a football club.     Sam Tordoff is an accountant/driver and works in the family owned business.

    If this was to happen and I doubt it because the owners don’t want to sell the club would be run on good business lines with these two in charge. I can’t imagine any splashing of the cash
