This. Don't want to question the motives of the two mentioned but the timing is a little odd. I can't see Edin & Stefan wanting to sell just yet so this could draw on for some time.

One things for sure, if things go wrong this season then it will test Edin & Stefan's resolve. Whatever the context of the first two years of their reign, this is the 3rd season of their plan and they have coaching team that is there's and a squad that resembles their initial remit. If it starts going wrong and this consortium is still interested then maybe they'd consider it as a quick way out.

 

Edin and Rupp won't sell. Not for anything other than 'silly money'.

 

They have just purchased the former futuristic theatre in Scarborough and are developing that. He is also backing Scarborough football club in return for help from the council

Most owners don't, hence why Villa are close to administration with a Billionaire owner. There seems to be a misconception on here that we don't have a pot to piss in because our owners won't throw money at it, even the likes of Utd, Liverpool and Arsenals owners don't stick their hands in their pocket, most just borrow against the club(see Bolton, Sunderland etc.) Only Man City, Wigan, Chelsea and Wolves I can think of in recent times where the owners have really gone for it at their own cost.

If these two get in nothing will change.

No thanks. I’m pretty happy with the current owners and I’m happy to wait and see where this current plan/structure is going to take us. It makes sense though, there cant be any rumours of manager and chairman falling out now so a new, crappy rumour is needed.

It’d be nice to have at least a couple of months without some kind of destabilising rumour.
