All fair comment, so Id suggest they did not have the faith in their model from the word go.
There was no need to give Stuart the job when Phil walked, infact that would have been the ideal time to bring a head coach in.
The season tickets had already been sold as they agreed they should stay the same price with Julian & Mark, they could have sacked Stuart ( yes it would have been hard) but Stuart said they'd asked him to resign, they didnt have the balls to sack him and accept the consequences, even though after purchasing the club they said they would have to make decisions that the fans didnt like.

I don't think this will happen but the club would be far better off if Rahic and Rupp sell up and allow Gibb and Tordoff to buy.

maybe Tordoff and Gibb can see the club is slowly getting killed and want to step in before it completely implodes.

Or perhaps Stuart bought into what they wanted then changed his mind

Not ideal at all, it's the third season Dave. You know I'm not a fan of the strategy. But it is what it is, they are the owners, investors and they can decide on the strategy and vision for the future.

Truthfully, I'm fed up of the negativity. Not of you or anybody specific but the general overtures around the club. It was horrible that second half of last season, not just because of the owners but beyond, in the case of players, media (social) and supporters, of which I didn't help!!

It's a game. A Saturday afternoon or Tuesday night with friends and my son. Quality time. My expectations are lowered from a football prospective but not in terms of friends and family.

Don’t think it’s strange at all. Things take time to implement. Considering the uproar when Stuart was sacked in Jan, can you imagine if they’d done it last summer!

In what ways do you feel the club would be better run? Do you honestly feel there would be better/more investment? Better players brought in, the potential in our recruits is better imo than it has been for a while, and yes it is only potential at the moment. Think the pitch work to the depth and quality of the work would have been carried out? Would services have been brought back in-house?

What sort of vision for the club do you think such a consortium would bring? Would you be happy running on a deficit? The bland and blank statement 'yes it would be better' is not debate merely contrarian.

We really need more rating icons.

It should also be born in mind that the original £2.5m was repaid in rent by BCFC some time ago and has probably been reinvested (along with profit) into something else. Therefore the pension fund will have made far more than £5,920,000.

In all fairness, @Jam@Jam has set out a view, your response is rather limited using 'optimistic' as a reply.

Do you think Gibb/Tordoff would be better for city, and would provide say 15% extra for the whole of the club, which could be #makethedifference; perhaps expand on your thinking, then we can see your point of view.

I suggest you read the thread as I already have and I'm not going to repeat myself, see posts #5, 35, 161, 179,

It wasn't a dig at @Jam@Jam I used Optimistic as he asked questions which he will unlikely get an answer for. If we had ratings I wouldn't have had to waste 5 minutes responding to this and helping the thread go off topic.

I think his plan was to put it in the public domain that the was considering launching a takeover consortium. Probably a very good strategy just nearing the seasons start, All eyes will now be on our new head coach and Rahic to see how the the season goes. If they fail there's a declared alternative waiting in the wings.

There's a lot of optimism for this season, especially with the new signings but optimism never stopped relegation nor gained promotion.

Personally I hope we do well this season, all true supporters always do.

Having gone back through your posts, then I agree with what you say and had raised some of the points myself (I didn't know about the Ilkley funding issue).

As I said earlier, when someone 'loves' the club as Mr Gibb states he does, then he has shown this in a strange way!

Seriously you would have thought Gibb would have attended some fixtures in a 'private capacity' if that were the case, no one can doubt jack Tordoff's love of City.

Again I ask the question as there are always ITK people on here, has he been seen at any City match since 2004.

I found that comment by him strange, and can only think it was done by him to gain support from some of our fans. Not been funny but you'd have to be quite dense to fall for a line like that. Or the "he wants rid of the stadium" fans might be right, maybe he has felt pressure from the pension group to cash in now, while it's still got value, because it'll be worth hardly anything once our agreement with them is up.

So what ? It's what pension funds do. The vast majority of shopping centres and city centre office blocks are owned by either a pension fund, an insurance company like Prudential or in the case of Leeds, the Ziff family.

I love a girl who once gave me a night or two of immense passion in the back of a ford escort (mk2), but I haven't seen or had any contact with her in 30 plus years.
