The media should bring facts to balance opinion when it is needed but they are scared to death of giving any idea of been accused they are racist, It really is a sad time when the media is oppressed and fears telling the truth when lies and false opinion is given

 

The media are more interested in agendas than facts.

 

The gypsy king now wading in with his own take on it. The comments on the back of it are worrying, there is a definite split in opinion depending on the colour of your skin, even to a point of people backing him or Anthony Joshua because of their race rather than their boxing ability.

 

Is anyone else worried that the Fury v Joshua fight could become symbolic of something much than just a boxing match?

 

If you read social media it already has. Not a case of who you think is the best boxer, if you're white you support the white dude, if you're black AJ is getting your vote. Thinly veiled racism.

 

Sad but inevitable.

Personally, I think Fury will have too much for Joshua.

 

Look at this scenario world wide though and what a lot think is racism is actually just human nature where people migrate toward people and cultures of their own background. Thats not wrong as such, society dictates that people go for where and what they feel comfortable with. And that is usually a community they have something in common with, be it cultural or religious.

That's exactly how I see it too.

 

Reading stuff with regards the fight I think it might have already started, comments like "I hope Tyson knocks his racist head off" and the fights 12 months away.

 

I am genuinely starting to fear the hard work in making Britain one of the most diverse and equal countries in the last 20-30 years is going to go down the swanny because of this, hopefully I’m wrong and we can get back to being a peaceful nation. But I think the graffiti on Churchill could actually be far bigger than we yet realise, especially as some are still targeting it wanting it removed. Only in Britain could someone be voted the greatest Briton of all time then their physical images be attacked only 5 years later. I fear they’ll be huge backlash from this, the right wingers haven’t got started properly yet, it’ll be ugly when they do.

 

In turn though this gets turned into a debate about ghettos, white flight etc when in truth its just people migrating to what they know. People by definition are wary of change and other cultures, thats not to say they don't like them, but we have to accept that with different cultures and communities come different agendas and thought processes resulting in differing idealogies.

 

The fight might not even take place depending on results of other bouts yet. It reminds me of the route the Conor McGregor v Khabib UFC took in the build up with McGregor berating Khabibs background and religion and i for one don't like it. It then meant fans were choosing their fighter of choice by religion/colour of skin, racism by definition.

 

Why are good decent folk that want us to preserve our heritage and defend the statues being reported as 'extreme' right wing...?

A shame that Sky News UK isn’t willing to air an alternative view to the mainstream narrative in the way that Sky News Australia is.

 

Problem with straight away is O'Neills narrative by using the word alleged to describe what Cummings did. If he wants to add proper balance to the debate why is he sticking up for Cummings with the word allegedly? Cummings broke the rules. He then goes on to berate the crowds who turned up for the protests. They can't help themselves, it's a shame because he makes good points but spoils it by sticking up for Cummings with his sly choice of words.

 

And there's your narrative for today which will be shown on a loop every hour. If they actually had brains they'd be dangerous. Playing right into the hands of the divide and conquer media. 'Football lads' eh?

I don’t for a minute believe that this is, in any way, a commonly held view. Yet the lazy straw man argument prevails. Again, as I keep saying, there’s an important debate to be had here, but if you keep characterising the people you disagreee with by the most absurd viewpoint possible then obviously it’s going to delegitimise their platform.

Strikes me that, just like last week, those that are there to ‘defend’ statues believe they are working under the moral purity that the left wing also believe they possess, but ultimately just want a scrap. A lot of them will be gutted to go home empty handed.
