I don't really get this easing Scannell back business. When was he injured? He played the last game of last season so he must have been fit then. Haven't heard anything about him missing pre-season training and he's still fit enough to be in the squad. Why does anyone need easing back from a summer break?

I agree with you, but if the club say he needs easing back, who are we to say different? What we don't need is an already expensive flop, sitting in the stands for another 6 months.

I’d say the majority have acknowledged the fact we need a couple of additions in midfield and a formation tweak. Not seen many at all say we don’t

You can’t sell him if he’s injured

There are quite a few (as the Brexiteers would claim, ‘the majority’) have suggested the squad is ok and just needs players coming back from injury. I’ve read loads of people suggesting that we will be okay once McCartan, Paudie, Ismail (and in some cases) Reeves return to action.

I call them ‘the head in the sand’ brigade...!

    Huddersfield Town sack Siewert.

    1 win in 19.

Not to worry @Bronco@Bronco it's only 3 games in to the season and last season doesn't matter. Utter bollocks.

Anyone that thinks Bowyers results from last season don't count are mugging themselves right off. Sky sports and other media outlets are quoting Siewert record since he started at Town not making stupid comments like it's 3 games into the season.

Results business! Bowyer needs win urgently or he won't be far behind Siewert.

This action from Town certainly supports your stance. Fair play.

But what is the basis of the sacking? Has he got the support of the dressing room, or fans? Is the sacking with a view to getting a superior manager quickly?

Honestly, it looks a daft decision on paper - no surprise given that they made the worst decision in the history of their football club when they sacked Wagner. Perhaps he just signed utter bab like Jacko and Christie did before Parky came in and rebuilt the squad - or perhaps Huddersfield continue to be utterly delusional, expecting results they simply aren't equipped to get regardless of manager.

The idea they were upset at getting relegated is a joke - exactly what should have happened, anything else would have been a miracle.

No my stance is that Bowyer and all managers need to produce results. It's what they get paid to deliver.

The sacking of Siewart is to give them a chance. They would of been one of the favourites to be there of there abouts. Why wait? He had 19 games and failed to produce.

Bowyer's record is nearly as bad.

I still can't get my head why Bowyer accepted the job for us when he did. He would of been better or saying I willl start at the end of the season. Now he's in the Siewert position. Bowyer is in the fire line as his result since have been poor and you can't disagree with that.

It would be terrible club management if we somehow allowed Bowyer to wait until the Summer.

Bowyer needed to get in and assess the squad - he did, and has prioritised defence and attack as massive weaknesses. But actually, the entire team was a massive weakness, so he's yet to address midfield adequately.

But when Bowyer came in last season, it had to be on the basis that the club would be understanding that last season's results were pretty much friendlies, because Guardiola himself wouldn't have achieved a better record with that embarrassment of a squad.
