Way I see it, with pragmatic financing of Rupp, the know how of Rhodes (who crucially has learnt from failing in L2) and the experience of Bowyer, we have the best chance of progressing in either league

 

Should be sacked in November if not in the top 6? Despite what Rahic has done to this club in the last 18mths, you still feel the need to blame Rhodes for “shagging our club”?

And you want folk to take your comments seriously?!?!?!

 

Not sure anyone wants to send him on his way but so far he's done little to suggest we should be welcoming him with open arms either. He signed until the end of the season, lets make a judgement then.

 

So the latest manager to try and fail, produce results that are not great and that should be doing better (your words not mine) should get the job? Not sure I understand the logic.

 

You got it ! It starts and ends with our "History Man" his story stretches back nigh on two decades and here we are again ?. Take out "the luck of the Rhodes" Parky the Cup Final and Chelsea " and we'd still be on the Rhodes to nowhere !.............what's that ? we're not going down there again ? Oh yes we are !

 

Fair point, maybe being a bit too negative. Just hoping we can do well next season!

 

Take away Brazil's 5 world cups and what have they achieved? Take away man United's 20 league titles and what have they achieved?
The fact is we DID achieve those things under Rhodes. So why the hate?

If Evans produced that sequence of results at the start of an 11 match audition - too right questions would be being asked. Bowyers got lucky. Blackpool rocked up, he was able to self promote and the Blackpool fans clapped him. Suddenly he's 100% the answer. Call me old fashioned but I'd like to see some evidence of moving forwards on the pitch. I realise results may be hard to turn round but surely we should be seeing something. You know silly little things like players wanting to come out to play, put effort in, back up their teammates and stuff. Basically everything lacking from Saturday (which I'm still very angry about btw), That's his job as well right? We'll see what he's made of in the next few games. I'll prefer to base my judgement on that rather than the Blackpool fans clapping.

 

It will all depend on what we class as failure, there are so many situations we as fans won't be privy too
We will possibly be carrying the likes of Wright, Reeves, McCartan, Riely etc which will cost the club and that's without new players who Bowyer has identified as his targets, this is besides the general running costs of the club, I would say (as I have before) in league two IMO anything less than a play off campaign will be a disappointment.
So going back to your original question if Stefan provides Bowyer with a decent player budget (we'll have a good idea of that by the caliber of players Bowyer signs) IMO it will be Gary Bowyer's, if we see free agents and the like bringing in we could say Stefan is to blame, but at the same time we have to accept he will also be subsidising the day to day running of the club.
A difficult one let's hope we don't apportion blame at anyone as we will be promoted back into league one.

 

We will be in division 2 I think without doubt it will be free agents and loans.

 

Nothing wrong with 'free agents' at all ............ It's being able to get the best ones to forge a TEAM that is the challenge.

 

Sadly I agree with your league two comments, I hope your free agents and loans is not correct but again I think you may be correct.

 

I only want to see 1 or 2 loans next year. We need a squad of OUR players who want to be here for the right reasons. Problem now is if your loan player does well (Payne) they either get recalled and sent elsewhere or you have to pay more money to keep them. We don't want to be controlled by other clubs.

 

Agree 1 or 2 quality loans of Cullen, Burke, O'Brien quality and as you say the rest being taken from those already under contract plus Gary Bowyer own type of players.

 

He had great loan at Blackpool Sean Longstaff who has gone back to Newcastle and done great

 

Let's hope he's already identified some younger players who he believes he might have a chance of bringing in.
