Can't help you if you can't read the heading that says league 1 and 2 then in the article it says May & June.

I would love us to be a PL or Championship club but if you haven't figured out we are a div 2 club then you need to wake up and realise it's 2020.

It also says it isn’t compulsory, it is optional with each club deciding if they are doing it and at what level.

You said Bradford were starting it in May so I presumed one of your links stated that.

Mate, the players have agree it.

It's a deferral to help with cash flow. If Bradford city & others do want to do it and continue to pay wages then fine but the option is there it seems.

So those players who are out of contract at the end of June and move on elsewhere, will be owed money by the club. Presumably this will have to come out of next seasons wage budget?

normally clubs aren’t allowed to sign people if they owe players wages. So will be interesting what the league say about that

Furlough payments of up to £2,500 a month come from the government. The club has already said the shortfall will be paid by the club. So players will be owed nothing, so moving them on will not be a problem. However, those out of contract will struggle to get new clubs as next season maybe a write off before it’s starts.

My query was more about clubs signing players if they owe their current player wages
