Idle, behave. This sort of reply does not fit the narrative of some.

I am not really bothered about Europe, we have left! It is up to this country to ensure that we have a reasonable number of drivers so that vital goods can be transported. Lets put our own house in order. It’s about the UK having enough fuel in the petrol stations, so that people can get on with their lives and that includes being able to travel to football matches.

Yes of course the modern way is through pressurised pumps, maybe the old hand pumps will make a come back.

Thing is if a company owes £223million in corporation tax it must have made at least treble that in.profit. the crisis isn't shortage of furl, its the greed of companies wanting more and more profit than crying wolf when then have to pay the tax on that profit.

They don't owe corporation tax. It is VAT that they deferred paying as they were allowed to do due to the pandemic. The company is owned by a couple of billionaire brothers.

Don't know why I thought they were Bradford born but I'll take a couple of Lanashire lads owning the club.
Stafford was from over the border.

I'm sure we have been in the past, I wouldn’t want to put our club in any jeopardy but I'm getting on now so I'd just like a little bit of sucsess before I go, not too much to ask is it ;).

Ooo isn't that a bit like being a climate change denier and being happy to have warmer summers before you peg it ?

If not been mentioned already. Fuel on the motorway was £1.49 per Lt.

Media hysteria, All those who don’t normally fully fill their tanks did taking all the forecourt stock. Out and about today, passed several fuel stations seems you might have to wait a bit but still all selling fuel.
    Panic buy toilet rolls instead.

Who's denying climate change, I recycle, turn the heating and lighting off when not required much to the annoyance of the Mrs, I’ve put less than 4,000 miles yearly on my car clock (less than 1,000) since Covid, but I ain't prepared to give my holidays abroad up, certainly not when we fly on a sold out plane, yet some #### who can afford can turn left at the top of the stairs and pay several hundred pounds to fly on a half empty plane.
If we could rely on better British summers I would be more than happy to spend some of my retirement in the UK, unfortunatly thats not the case so Egypt here I come.

It’s all smoke and mirrors. Someone is not being honest I’m afraid . Very few will come and they know it. I also assume EU driver competence certificates for driving petrol tankers are no longer valid. So they will have to be retested. I posted the Gov own requirements on another thread.

I honestly don’t think there are issues with a shortage of PSV drivers, so the only issue is fuel supply to bus depots. If it does come to it then keeping fuel for “ basic” living is more important than using fuel to get peeps to footy matches.
Another case for making ifollow video available for all .

It’s a sorry state of affairs when we have to choose. It should have never come to this.
