So are you seriously trying to say (as aI posted) as s team we ars superiour to Parkys last seasons team.
We had decent season Stuartsfirst season but we are starting from scratch because they didnt implement their vision from the day they came in, not difficult to comprehend.

 

I am saying that the 2016/2017 was better than the 2015/2016 for a number of reasons.

 

Bronco is saying the PP side was better than Stuart's which I totally agree with.

 

Yes I know. I am not talking about last season BTW.

But McCalls 16/17 team went further, was better to watch and didn't have a first 11 which was made up half of loans.

And those are the facts.

 

Well this is a heart/head moment for me. My heart tells me to be optimistic, new season, coaches, players, young players, we just might find the formula. My head says caution, the recruitment of head coach was chaotic, we are buying players who don’t cost much, is this team a bargain or are we going to get what we paid for?

I can honestly say I have never felt like this at the start of the season before.

Will we be celebrating our brand new team this time next year, or be truly in the dumps!

 

It still wasn't as good a team. IMO.

Which league 1 clubs are buying players who do cost much? Even Sunderland are being cautious - spending on signings (as last year proved) does not always pay off.

 

Yes. Speaking to a lad i know who's boy is in the under 9's, he was at the end of season awards bash at VP.
It was 3 days before they were unveiled as the new team to coach the firs team.
He said that both Collins and Drury were both talking to all the age groups about their vision and how to achieve it.
Apparently they were inspirational.

 

Nobody knows as we can’t see into the future. We’ll have an idea by October/November.

 

We didn't need to try any of your examples did we, as I remember it we were doing pretty well under Parkinson, lets forget about that to defend our wasted two years.
You seem to be in the know tell us about the Gordon's solicitors situation, or perhaps the Guiseley friendly situation, pissing Steve Parkin off, the clubs second main sponsor after JCT600.

No problem - I thought you posted it twice, once for October and the other for November.

 

That doesn't mean that team was better though does it.

 

No of course not, the side that didn't make it to Wembley were much better

 

Parkinson had 3 attempts at L1 and failed every time. We were L1 when he left and we are still L1.

McCall/Rahic/Rupp got us closer than Parkinson/Lawn/Rhodes ever did and those are the facts whether you like it or not.
