Free Agent Signings Monday ?

We're only getting him to loan him to City, get's round the FFP rules as we'll be paying his wage.

 

We cant get another loan in until january anyway.. At which point im guessing Payne and Wilson will be gone

But Huddersfield have a recall option in January

 

Yes they do don't expect him to be here after jan as town want him sold.

Le Fondre plays in Oz now and we don't have the money for the rest. Raggett played for Norwich before going on loan I believe so he can't play for anyone else now either.

 

Thank f*ck we did our business nice and early in the summer, so we could be relaxed in the last couple of weeks.

So that leaves, payne, o'brien, seedorf, miller and ball. Payne will more than likely leave and there is little point in seedorf sticking about so we have a couple more options for adding to the squad. I like Ball, he is one of the more technical players in the squad and Doyle looks "better" when Ball plays, but he hasnt had the impact I thought he would. I wonder if his loan could be terminated in January

 

What on the back of his performances for us, don't get me wrong I like the lad and think he's one of the few who can get the ball down and play but hardly been outstanding.

 

In McCall’s team at start of last season he would have been an immense addition. Sadly came a year too late

I would send back Seedorf, Miller and Ball, if that's an option. All three have been very poor

 

They may want him out of a struggling side and into a settled side with a view to selling him on.

 

Talk was they wanted £500k plus at start of season but no one would pay it. Town were hoping he would be a big fish in a small pond so to speak when he came to us and then somebody would pay the asking price but like you say Dave can't see it at that price.

 

He can certainly play can the lad I've always like Payne when he's come down with opposition teams, last season with Oxford he was second behind Eastwood as their stand out player, and he's alway played well for Southend against us.
You may be correct that Huddersfield thought he we would be one of the teams in the mix (although I have no idea why when Collins was the head coach) and yes Ricky I can understand Towns thinking unfortunately for the lad he's playing in a side devoid of confidence.
